| "have a clear point of view of our government ? ' The show puts the US government in a very negative light, albeit a fictional negative light. The government is not really like that. |

So i am not really up to date, about the government in the U.S. . But in my view, the government is already in a negative light! Especially the President! (No offense) But i like not only the brotherhood of the con's but also the thoughts of a man and the expression of it. There are not only BAD guys, like for example: Bellick is an asshole (yeah i agree) but we are starting to see more of him, he lives with his mom, has suicide issues. But he has his soft side too, so in some kind of way we can understand a person for doing what he does, instead of hating that person! Same goes for Mahone, although i don't hate that guy, he is starting to be my favorite character pretty soon i think... Mahone is a Fed, not necessarily a bad guy! His mission is to contain the escaped con's, but during the process he is starting to learn more about Scofield, since they have the same kind of "Sickness" . He is going to feel differently about the whole situation. Knowing that those guys actually share mutual thoughts and intelligence. And in a later stage he might be allied with him! And also i like the way everything gets covered up by the FICTIONAL government! Lovely!! | |

| I agree that we need to understand a guy in a lot of ways. not just like or hate. every action a guy did or word said, is based on his/her past and current situation. |

| ts a fun show with fun characters. There is nothing to learn here. The deeper conspiracy we get mention of now and then is turning into a typical corrupt politician/big bad oil company archetype and the relationships between the characters is whats to be expected...they are together out of necessity. Honestly, if you try to look too deeply into this show, you will ruin it for yourself. If you take it at face value and with a grain of salt, you'll be in for one hell of a ride. one thing i did learn though...if I ever get my hand hacked off, I will go straight to the Vet. if you want a deeper show, watch something like HBOs "The Wire" for more of a social statement or even "24" for blunt no apologies storytelling. |
