| I was wondering the same thing. Its as if he got her hopes up for months telling her theyre going to be a family, and then thier son dies and he finishes her. |

| I think after the death of their son they both understood they couldnt be together again but i do remember her saying kill that Bast**d or something along those lines and this made me think they could get through it but obviously not. |

| Four years is a long time , really . He might have tried it with Pam in those four years only to realize that it wouldn't work. They say the hardest thing for a couple to endure and make it through is the death of a child and more times than not they can't do it, not to mention all the other things they both have been though over the course of the show. I don't think they could have ever made it no matter how had they both tried.
