Reader Reaction: 'Prison Break' Kills Off Sara Tancredi

The rumors had been swirling around the internet for months that Prison Break's Sarah Wayne Callies would not return for a third season of Prison Break. Still, fans help out hope that the actress and the show would work out some sort of deal that would resolve the character and her storyline in a way that would make everyone happy. When Lincoln found her head in a box this past week, after fans sat through bad voiceovers and body doubles, they were outraged that this is how their beloved Sara Tancredi went out.

Don't make it out to the SWC's fault. They were going to kill off her character regardless of her coming back or not (Which she wanted to do). She was just so upset and shocked by their decision to kill her off that she refused to come to shoot her death scenes. More power to her.

The way they offed her was disrespectful and unnecessary. Even more disrespectful is the fact they are bringing in a new love interest for Michael in episode 9. These writers are on drugs. How can they possibly be so arrogant.

Personally, I'm fine with it. Shocked but fine. Now that's a way to settle a contract dispute! Producers - "You know what....f*** it! Kill her off!"

Quarkz looking at the facts of this it seems like it was foxs fault. But SWC could of atleast come in and gave the fans that liked the whole MISA storyline a pay off so it is partly her fault it ended this way but its not her entire fault.

The way i wish she left the show would be in episode 14 (as it was originally meant to be) after many many scenes of MiSa :P and with the 'family' Scofield, Linc, LJ....... maybe Whistler, Sofia, Sucre and Maricruz could drop over..... and then she gets shot... and dies in Michael arms... while they say 'i love you' to each other... then Michael gets revenge... etc etc..... and with no boxes in sight!!! or axes for that matter....

Sara's death did the impossible-made me not care about the character of Michael Scofield. He won't be redeemed and he won't be happy. I'm done.

SWC wanted to come back for Season 3. Fox rejected the writers' work so the writers decided to make the season darker by killing Sara. They wanted SWC to come back for half a season so they could build up to her death. I don't blame her for telling them to stick it. She didn't want to uproot her family to go work for half a season only to have the character she built up be killed anyway. Fox and the writers made a big mistake and we fans have to pay.

I don't think its any one persons fault as far or who is to blame for SWC not coming back. My thoughts are if Sarah wanted to come back, she would have, at least to give her character a proper goodbye, but she didn't and maybe thats partly the Prison Break producers faults, but if she'd wanted it bad enough for the character, she would be there. Her family is her number one priority right now, not Sara, not Prison Break. You can't focus the fault on any one person.

I think you can put the blame on the producers - why kill her off to just bring in a new love interest??? SWC loved being part of this show and she put her heart and soul into it. She WANTED to come back and they were only killing off her character anyway. I say kudos to SWC for making such a bold decision. I personally think the show sucks now anyway. There is no connection with the new characters they do absolutely nothing for the show but make me more pissed that our beloved SWC won't be returning and that we are left with just them.
