I love Brooke and I think she is a cool character but I do think the whole adopting a baby is not a good idea since she wants to a baby to take away that hole that she feels is missing. I know that taking care of a baby is very hard work and a sick one is probably even more work. Brooke did not know how to take care of Angie when she first got her and not having food and furniture is a clear sign that she is not ready to be a mother. She also needs a partner and I am glad Lucas is helping her but I don't think they will get back together. They are better as friends. I just hope Lucas stops pinning for Lindsey and gets back together with Peyton. It is obvious that he still loves her. Not one but two books about her is evidence that their love with last forever.

I think Brooke could be a good mother. She can learn what she don't know. Not every mother knows what there doing.

| Jared's S&M gal ![]() | Sorry but I actually didn't find the article to be harsh. From the moment Brooke announced she wanted a baby I cringed. It was so clear that she is looking for love...that unconditional love that you would get from a parent or from a significant other. Well Brooke didn't get that from her own mother and she couldn't find that kind of love with Lucas or Chase or any other male she's been with. So she decides to adopt a child and I just think that's wrong. Babies should not be used to provide an adult with unconditional love because children are the ones that need the unconditional love and support and nurturing. And you can say that Brooke wants a baby in order to give a child what she didn't get emotionally from her own parents but that's not totally true. The scene where Brooke wanted Angie to smile at her so that she knew she liked her was disturbing to me. Not because Angie's sick or has a hole in her heart but because Brooke shouldn't be looking for Angie to make her feel better about herself. Brooke may be 22 but she doesn't have the maturity right now to take on the responsibilities of raising a child. Asking "how cute do I look with this baby?" and bringing a child into a professional business meeting (rather than making the necessary arrangements for someone to care for Angie while she is at work) screams of how immature and ill-prepared Brooke is right now. Frankly, in the episode where everyone was sitting and reflecting about their lives, they should've had Brooke come to a realization that she was trying to fill the void within her by adopting a child and that she wasn't ready to be a mother but wanted to become like a mentor to young children instead.

She could be a good mother, but right now she is not ready to be a mother. As the article mentioned, she is trying to fill the void that was given by her mother. before she adopts a child, she needs to fix her relationship with her mother. she needs to understand why her parents treated her that way. and i believe, after what brook has gone through in her childhood, she should not try to raise a child as a single parent. Brook has got lucky, because of good friends she saw the right path and has walked on found success...but is it worth again to raise a child without a father. she still got her life as a young adult, she needs to enjoy and find a suitable partner...still its not late..she is just 22.it might be easy at the tender age to raise a baby without a father, but as the child grows, there will come situations where you really need support of a partner. Real friends would help, but your husband becomes a total different person where you share everything...therefore i feel they s

Yes, but she wanted to give something to a child that her mother wasn't able to do. Debbie, just a question, are you a Leytoner or a Brucaser?
