One Tree Hill: The Love Triangle That Refuses to Die

Though I'm a huge fan of all the drama present on One Tree Hill, I have to be honest when certain storylines or characters are getting on my nerves. In season 5, nothing is annoying me more than the seemingly endless love triangle between Lucas, Lindsey, and Peyton. This particular story has been running in circles like a merry-go-round for 15 episodes, and I think last night I finally reached my breaking point. I simply cannot handle another scene of Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) moping over his failed relationship to Lindsey while Peyton stands in the background pining over him. After an entire season of this, I'm about ready to toss my television out the window if the love triangle doesn't wrap up quickly.

Put Lucas and Peyton back together whithout the cheesy stuff or move them both on.. If this show ends up like grey's anatomy( Derek and Meridith) I will quit watching it... I like the show but soem things need to be put back together or changed for a while at least.

Anyone else still vaguely like the Brucas campaign? lol.... that triangle was a little more interesting....

Either Luke should end up with Peyton, or he should get Brooke, and Peyton should get someone else...

it agravates me that we spent soooo long trying to get rid of Lindsey and Lucas can't get over her..... lol

hahahaha .. I am picturing you smashing the TV. .. running necked in the street .. shouting .. no more OTH .. god that is hilarious .. any how I think the paining and mobbing will continue until ep 18.. I have a good story about the couple but something bad will happened to Peyton .. like she will fly with her Comet on a bridge and down to the river or some lake ... but magically Lucas will reach her in a second from her fatal destiny and rescue her .. he will then tell her that he loves her and wants her to be by his side .. unfortunately Peyton will have amnesia and will not remember him at all .. THE END OF SEASON 5

Ha...Peyton with amnesia? That would definitely be the worst thing ever. Then she'll fall in love with someone else, but the love triangle will begin again when she gets her memory back and remembers that Lucas is the one for her.

First it was the Brooke/Lucas/Peyton triangle that kept arising for four seasons and now the Lindsay/Lucas/Peyton triangle is taking up this entire season. For me, enough is enough. I'm sick of seeing this story week after week, watching Lucas and Peyton pine for someone that doesn't want them. It's annoying and makes their characters unbearable to watch. I don't care who they end up with at this point but I would just like to be able to sit through an ep where Peyton isn't going on and on about how hard it is to let Lucas go and Lucas isn't crying about how much he misses Lindsay and will wait for her.

I totally agree with you Don. I am sick of the love triangle thing and I want Peyton to do something about her love life. Either fight for Lucas or go find a new boyfriend. Skills is available. LOL Lucas needs to figure out what he wants and then go after it. Lindsey knows he still loves Peyton and now Lucas has to realize it and make a decision. I did like Brooke and Lucas as a couple but I think they are good friends now and that is how it is going to stay.

I love OTH but really sometimes it seems like Dragon Ball Z, in that in the real world months have passed but in the show it's really been only 2 minutes. Nothing has changed, no one has evolved and we're really just wishing that something would actually just happen. OTH does his a lot. It moves at snail's pace for weeks then sticks in something like psycho Derek to get us all riveted again.

I just had to ask a friend about what Dragonball Z is like, and you're right -- it does sound a lot like OTH! It's a weird comparison, but a good one.
