I didn't feel MS cameo was distracting and even though he may not be a top actor, he did not do that bad. Giving advice to Peyton is cool and sometimes it helps to talk to someone who is not caught up in the drama.

Hahaha when I first saw Mark on there I was like "Wait a minute don't I know him from somewhere?" And then halfway through his little chat with Peyton I was like "Oh my god, it's Mark Schwahn!!!" And then I remembered where I saw him seeing as i just finished watching my season 3 DVD for the millionth time!!! But I don't think it was the slightest bit distracting, if anything I think it was great of him to come on the show.

It's not exactly distracting, but it's like his character only exists for him to pop him whenever. Max seems like a pointless character and only there for the so-called meant-to-be Lucas and Peyton to get back together. Why did he bother with season 2 or 3 then?

I think he bothered with two and three to show how confused both Lucas and Peyton were at the time. Just like Lucas says at the ened of his book, "An Unkindness of Ravens" He knew at the state championship that he and Peyton had been meant for eachother and anytime when he thought otherwise he was just in denial. The first season they made a connection that could nebver be broken and I had a feeling they would wind up together in the end. They may not have realized it because of Brooke and Hake, but they got it in the end.
