Jackson BrundageThere's been a lot of good news for One Tree Hill fans over the past week.  First we learned that the series will return for a sixth season in the fall, and then on Monday the cast and crew went back to work to film the final six post-strike episodes of the season.  However, the really big news is that those final installments will not be airing in the Tuesday at 9pm slot that fans have grown accustomed to.  Beginning on April 7, One Tree Hill will move to Mondays at 9pm following episodes of Gossip Girl.  Its former Tuesday time slot will then be taken over by Reaper, which originally aired at that time before running out of pre-strike episodes.

Ha, it's like the show is actively trying to compete with House. While it seems like a decent idea on paper, here's a rundown of the shows OTH will be competing with: New episodes of House starting April 28. New episodes of 2.5 Men, America's highest rated comedy. DWTS (well, for the first half-hour at least). And Deal or No Deal. For the 2006-2007 TV season, all four of those shows were in the top 20 for ratings.

Though it's not on right now, won't Heroes be on Mondays as well? I'm not feeling the move though I'm happy for a sixth season. Hmm...this should be interesting to see how the ratings go. I, personally, prefer OTH on Tuesdays.

Well I don't like that it moved to Mondays but all the other news is like music to my ears.. Now if only they could make the show good again... Recycled story lines aren't the most fascinating thing to watch.. But I guess whatever I get is good.. It's always nice to have tivo..I can watch both without a problem.

Well, to be fair I would guess that OTH appeals to a different demographic than the other Monday night shows. It's only real competition is probably DWTS. That may take away some of the teenage audience.

I just hope it doesn't get murdered in the Monday ratings, Tuesdays fit it well and Monday is a bigger TV night

Heroes doesn't return until the fall, and I suspect this is more of a trial time slot and pairing for the network to map out a new schedule for next year. Next fall should be interesting, especially since WWE is leaving, which opens Fridays on the CW. God only knows what they'll bury there.

I'm hoping it's temporary because Mondays are kinda jam packed with tv shows. And if I really was forced to chose between OTH and Heroes, sorry but OTH wouldn't stand a chance. But I can record OTH too so it's not the end of the world. My concern is that moving a show that's doing well around in the time slots could spell disaster in the long run. Sorry, I'm just not an optimistic person.
