| HAHAHAHAAHA no. To reemphasize my point. Whoever wins the nomination will take the other as vice-president. There is literally no way around it. It'll be Hillary/Obama or Obama/Hillary to the general election in November. Before Iowa the case could be made that she could pick someone else due to him not really being 'viable'. Before New Hampshire he could have said somewhat the same thing if he got the win and used it to dozer her leading into and on Super Tuesday. But now that both are established neither would be dumb enough not to take the other because if they didn't.. they're sure to piss off the segment of voters that the other represents. If Obama doesn't take Hillary.. the women are pissed that they didn't get a female-first. If Hillary doesn't take Obama.. the African-Americans are pissed they didn't get an African-American-first. Furthermore.. both are young.. whoever goes as vice gets setup to run for president once the other's 2 terms are up. Its really win/win and its all just a matter of seeing who gets the demotion to vice. Last but not least.. both raised over $100 million in donations. With them combined that makes for a $200 million war chest and practically ensures there will be absolutely no money issues. They can spend and overspend to their hearts content to make sure the republicans make no headway. -TH

| Moderator ![]() | LOL...yeah, TH - you caught me ranting. Sure the Pres does more, but it's the dang promises they make that kill me...and the thought that the "majority" buy into it. I've always said that anyone wanting to be president should be immediately disqualified...this shouldn't be seen as a "great" job to have. Unlimited power, within reason and leashed, for 4 or 8 years and then *poof* off into obscurity and the textbooks. You'll be remembered for either a good, mediocre or bad economy (something the president really can't control). I agree on the ticket being C/O or O/C ... but I think John Edwards may sneak in as the VP candidate if Hillary takes the nomination. He's a "win" for the South. Unfortunately, the South still thinks they won the war and that white, male-dominated America is where their protection lies. I don't understand that...but it's what I see everytime I visit. Oh yeah - uh, Sayid for president. |
