In all 3 of those positions...if you screw it up, do they remember you or the administration?

Sure, they're very valuable positions and very high up the food chain...but people remember/blame the lead dog

lol.

I'll send you a cigar. So I'm still iffy on the particulars. WILL she be set up as the VP? I've been away from the news... and If I get started on CNN now about 50 people might tackle me. lol How does all that work now, especially since she had her boy put up such a fight?

It depends on how far she wants to take the fight really. She's starting to tip into Scorched Earth Politics and if she goes that far.. then no. You take your lumps.. you lose gracefully and back out like Romney and when/if Obama comes calling don't say no. Unless she shoots herself in the foot pulling convention shenanigans with backroom tomfoolery(completely in the realm of possibility).. Its probably hers to lose.

Edwards is a non-starter... he had his shot in 2004 for VP and it in no way helped Kerry. He really needs his Dick Cheney to provide a counterpoint on the experience issue. Hmm.. Howard Dean? That would actually be a pretty bold choice really. Dean gets redemption for 2004 and Obama gets his bag man.

I like the idea of Dean - he was a frontrunner until his speech mishap.

Speaking of which - has Obama's speech writer been canned yet for copying speeches from other politicans?

Exclamation Only Reckless Idiots Would Bomb Iran Now - RichPundit

WOW TTSers, read in an Aruba Lite newspaper that there is a recent video on the Net showing McCain outrageously, laughingly singing at one of his rallies: "Bomb Bomb Bomb ... Bomb Bomb Iran" to the Beach Boy's tune of "Barbara Ann"!!!

As I previously posted, no doubt that the Neocon Nuts that even most Republicans reject, continue to overtly scream that we need to bomb Iran NOW. In fact, The Wall Street Journal's website has keep posted for months, a loong "defense" of this idiot strategy written by Neocon "Intellectual" nut John Podhoretz (Bad Dad Norman). John honestly concedes that for several reasons, bombing Iran now would result in a lengthy, "global catastrophic" economic/political disaster, but that that was easily worth it! WTF???

To be fair, McCain, as well as most Republicans including our excellent Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and several Democrats including Hillary, has repeatedly clearly stated that Iran is at high risk of US+ bombing. I very much agree with this extreme rhetoric, but only as intense negotiation pressure ... only idiots would actually bomb Iran today!

Anyway, if Hillary/Richardson doesn't happen [as I have consistently predicted/supported] and it's an Obama/McCain election, previously I would have easily voted for McCain cuz Obama is simply charismatic at this point of his hopefully looong career ... not ready for prime time, particularly in a very tough prime time.

Now it's either Hillary or Obama for me! We absolutely need to Bomb Bomb Bomb McCain and his disasterous party on every issue.

Here is that vid that Rich was talking about. My hubby had mentioned it last night. No, Rich and my husband aren't the same person... lol

but here's the vid.

Erm I hope that came out right. I'm a moron when it comes to that stuff. If not, just search him and bomb Itan and it should come up.

I'm not naive enough to think that politicians never say anything stupid. But this : http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/0...m_n_88006.html
was even more disturbing. I get that he's trying to speak to a particular audience, but what kind of message does that really send? Do you really want this person representing your country? This kind of stupidity scares me.

(And no, before you guys all jump me, I'm not saying that the Dem side hasn't ever said something stupid. I know that's not true! But nothing as overtly militant and.. scary... as that.)

EDIT: LMAO @ me. I'm such a doofus. I managed to post it twice!!! lool. Sorry. I don't know how to take it of, cuz the code doesn't show up in my edit thingy.

If you look at the exit polls on CNN.com, Hillary should win Ohio handily. While the early numbers were strange compared to the exit polls (850,000 votes with 1% of the precincts counted??), it's since been moving towards Hillary. The gap is about 37,000 votes right now, down from 100k at the beginning. Were these early votes absentee ballots? In most states those are counted after the election.

Oh, and because this is my first post in this thread... I'm a Hillary supporter who's becoming increasingly frustrated with her campaign.

The early votes were early votes. Texas has like a 10-day period for voting culminating today and then followed immediately by a caucus. The early votes were simply the votes allready made earlier in the week and last week.
