Interview With Ben And Adam

I found this little interview with Ben and Adam in this week's Heat magazine so i thought i'd type it up for you guys

Ben, do you mind that Seth gets all the best lines?
B: They've allowed my character to be more sarcastic and funny this series. Obviously Ryan's not going to deliver long, neurotic musings on life, be he's occasionally going to say something funny.

How much like your characters are you in real life?
B: I'm incredibly good-looking.
A: That's true. I like similar music to Seth and i like comics.
B: Ryan isn't really similar to me.
A: I share traits with Marissa.
B: Really? Alcoholism?
A: Alcoholism, and i hate my mom and i like women.

Adam, you recently filmed Mr and Mrs Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - were you nervous about that?
A: It takes so long on a feature film and you can only be nervous for so long. My hands couldn't actually shake for 15 hours. Anyway, i only had one scene with them, so i was ok.

Ben, you have a degree in foreign affairs and economics, how did you end up acting?
B: I started acting in cellege, then i moved to New York to wait tables, basically try to be an actor. I came out to LA, spent a year on a friend's floor and got The OC. So i kind of just fell in love with it along the way, but it is a far cry from what i thought i'd be doing.

So you had to do the whole starving artist thing?
A: I was starving in LA
B: It's rare you meet the actor who came out here and was instantly an amazing success.
A: It only happens to pretty girls!
B: Beautiful ex-models who are now actresses!

How have your lives changed since the OC started?
B: Adam's got a really nice place.
A: We've got nicer houses and cars.
B: And we work more which is good for me. I actually enjoy the work. I like the structure. Occasionally it gets a little bit tedious. But i think we've survived it pretty well.

What's the strangest thing a fan has done to get close to you?
A: There were a couple of girls who waited outside the studio gates with a cake for me, for my birthday. It was very nice, the only problem was that it wasn't my birthday. I smiled and took the cake.

What do you think of Rachel Bilson and Mischa Barton being on the cover of so many magazines?
A: They're both very pretty and they're on a hot show.
B: You forgot talented.
A: Right, talented too.
B: If you walk into the make-up trailers there are pictures of those girls from everything they're in.
A: Us too, though.

Do you tease them about it?
A: I tease them about a lot of things, but mainly their bad gas.

Gas? As in wind?
A: Yeah. Mischa. I really don't understand it, man.
