Rachel Bilson "Died" in Car Accident 5/5/06 Source

The OC star Rachel Bilson has been hiding a painful secret from fans - she once 'died' in a car crash.

The actress almost lost her life at 14 after the car she was riding in with pals crashed into another vehicle on California's beach road the Pacific Coast Highway.

She says, "I basically died and then came back. The window went into my head.

It was really gross."

The 24-year-old, who has a permanent reminder of the accident in the shape of a scar above her right eye, admits she still suffers from crippling migraines and memory loss - both of which she credits to her brush with death.

This is kind of taken from her interview with Self magazine - i'm sure it was a serious accident, but when she talks about it in the original interview, i don't think it was quite as dramatic as the spin-off articles make it sound.

i think she said it's hidden by her hair anyway.

Yep, that's from the Self interview. It was a pretty great interview, and she seemed so natural and normal in it, it made me love her even more.
