O.c. Spin-off

Hey peeps looky looky what i just found out (sorry if it has been posted before)

Josh plans to give Kaitlin Cooper her own show! It's going to be in her boarding school with a Mean Girls feel to it. Sounds pretty intresting, what do you guys think?

"The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz has scrapped plans for Athens, a drama about a college town, but he'll give Fox the spinoff it wants next January. The untitled show would focus on Kaitlin, the infrequently seen younger sister of Mischa Barton (news)'s Marissa Cooper. Kaitlin will resurface on The O.C. and then be sent to boarding school, where the show's Mean Girls-like premise will be set."

Shailene Woodley plays Kaitlin.

the whole humor of caitlin is that she's never in any of the episodes! that would be totally messed up if they gave her a show

I've read this somewhere before, I'm not sure if it was on this site. But yah that's weird, I didn't even know she could talk...

Who knows, maybe it'll be good. I mean, if Josh is creating it??

If its still in the planning stages then I can't see much hope for it, look how far Athens got! Also, check out Josh's past history for tv shows, he is talented but has had a few mi****s and false starts on past projects. I think the best thing would be to develop a totally original idea.

Oh, and if there is going to be a spin off from The OC, it needs to be Jimmy the Pirate.

I guess I can't diss it until I at least see it [or until at least it comes out], but a show with that premise is walking the thin line between FOX and nickelodeon. It depends on how it's written though.

Yeah Im pretty excited about it. Hopefully there is one,especially when it is like Mean Girls. I love that movie :P

One thing though, why are they doing a spin off of Kaitlyn. We hardly got to know her!!! She was in a couple of scenes and then she vanished to boarding school.Itd a good idea of an OC spin-off but should it be about Kaitlyn? Hopefully if it still has the OC characters in it...it would be good.

I don't think it would have the original characters in it, except for they'll probably keep the same Kaitlyn. Think for a moment, how many characters would go to see her? They're shipping her off to boarding school so they don't have to use the other characters, too. There might be rare appearances by her family, but that's being really hopeful.

I dont think that´s a good idea, but fox is wanting realy to make this show? If it comes to brazil i must see, but i dont promisse it´s good
