it was an amazing episode.
dont get me wrong, i hated the fact they killed marissa off but i must say, the show recovered quite nicely.
its different, not the typical orange county type of episode but still, great.
i cant wait to see what happens next.
i really hope they fix this seth/summer thing, they hardly had anything to say to each other!

I downloaded & watched the episode last night and I thought it was amazing!!! This premiere def. beats the 2nd and 3rd premiere for me! They didn't resolve everything in one episode, which is one thing I had hoped for. The music fitted right into the scenes and even added emotion to it, and I just love how they made this first episode! LOL
Nope, Marissa is never coming back so everyone should just accept it and see what GREAT potential this show has with this cast and these storylines!

After the same old drama (and the disaster that was season 3), im glad that the oc is finally experimenting on something new and based on first impressions, its really good! Im happy the whole revenge thing didnt take place in one episode just like trey's healing did last season. Its good that josh schwartz is taking things slow so that he could really develop the story.

i just watched the episode and i have to say that it was very sad.it didnt had any big surprise or turnover.....and i didnt liked the scene where ryan desides to return back.it remindes me season 2 premier and it was awful like it was 2 years ago.people dont return back so easily.well i cant say that i liked it so far,the oc without marissa is obvious not the same.yes it had some good scenes,the cagefighting,seth-summer,the music as always but the main storyline is that marissa died so lets all cry......so??why to kill her in the first place?sorry but i cant see any good in that....i am hoping that future episodes will develope some great storyline....

i was actually surprised at how good it was. after season 3 i was pissed off and really didnt see how it could improve. i was wrong. while theyre were a few things i didnt like i was overall impressed with the episode. i loved how it was darker. it makes it different from other episodes b/c its never genearlly been dark before. also, while he did come back, i was happy that he had his own agenda behind it. at first i was like oh no, now its gonna be all happy, but no, hes going back to get revenge, and while he cares about the cohens, wt i got from the episode anyway, hes not just going back to be with the cohens, he needs to get his revenge in order to move on. thats also the dark side of ryan, b/c we noe that he likes to get revenge on ppl, we've seen this with trey and volchok. The question is how far will ryan go? i highly doubt he'll kill volchok, and i hope he doesnt just beat him up cuz that will be too much like last season, but itl be interesting to see wt happens, maybe the writers could actually come up with something more creative this seasons. but if not, at least the first ep was good lol.

i hope since people have already seen the epi on myspace they still watch the premire, cause that could be bad for ratings.

when i saw it on myspace i freaked out like hardcore my dad was skeptical he was like its probly just a preview or like you have to pay to see it.

I loved this show. I do have the feeling that this is going to be an amazing season ( I still feel that it's going to be the last one). It was sad, emotional, happy (the kirsten sandy moments), there were feelings, there were repressed memories, there was awkardness, everything. And Melinda and Ben really out done themselfes. The acting was amazing. I cried in the Julie moments. And the music was just... Wow.
