cool site thanks.

if i remember correctly the first episode of the oc was shot @ the real mansion where the cohens live however after that the owners wanted alot of money for them to continue shooting it so they decided to make their own!

i thought it was too, but then i saw the pilot, and the house is differently laid out and stuff. It's just a huge and obscenely extravagant set. It occupies one of the two sound stages that the o.c. leases. I think that the house actually is only a bit of that soundstage, and that maybe the front portion of Julie's house from the first season was also next to it. Mayb not though. also, i think the interiors of Julie and Caleb's house were the inside of a real house.

I just wish I had an actual real house like that... Only thing I can't understand; the Cohen house seems huge but there's only one guest room. Like, what?

that was really interesting. i think that where they shoot is fake, but all the locations that they went off of were real.
