Yeah I know what you mean. At first I had no idea how the show would survive without one of the core characters but I'm really enjoying season 4.
When the finale aired in Aus, I actually met Mischa a few weeks later when she came to Australia haha. So it was weird to see it her in real life when she had just died on The O.C

I think that ryan is way hotter. I think that the oc rocks anyway and season 4 will take on more depth with everyone being say, i mean it has had pretty deep moments but not like this bad - dealing with a death this important which affects everyone. I mean its quite funny in a way to see how the characters have changed/stayed the same and when I saw the spoilers on youtube i think that they do flashbacks later on..... not sure but I am sure that it will b very good!

I liked Marissa from the begning but than she started to drink and that and I didnt like her she was so strange.....So season 4 it will be strang without her but I think i will rock anyway

Season four is ok, so far. I still don't like missing the funeral. I also don't like summer becoming Miss Flower Power 2006-07. I didn't like Ryan cage-fighting. Those two scenarios just don't make much sense. Overall, they've done a decent job of moving past Marissa. We need more Sandy and Kierstin and less Julie and Mini Coop. They just aren't as interesting. Mini Coop could be fun, if they ever open up her character and just let her run. I'm not tuning out yet. They almost lost me with the first episode. But after episodes 2 3 and 4, I'm returing to can't wait for the next episode mode. There's still promise.

I don't mind that Marissa is gone... Gives the characters some room to grow from tradgedy which is what they've been doing. How fun is Summer. I love the new environmentally conscious (sp?) Summer... She's interesting, but still as funny. And M leaving meant there was room for Taylor whom I absolutely adore! And, on a side note, I'm so stoked Australia is getting Season 4 the same time as America! Now let's just hope they give us the dvd extras as well instead of absolutely nothing.

Tbh, I found Marissa a bit annoying at times. She was always so bloody mopey! Ryan was much better in series 4, I think. I think the character got to develop further than just someone who was pining after marissa.
