Yer i agree with above it didn't reallly move that quickly because there still sorting it out.

I think they rush the first few episodes of the season on purpose so that they can sort of say "out with the old and in with the new." It creates a fresh new slate.

it did move a little to fast but if u think about it.. if he didnt recover to fast.. then hed be sittin in that bed 4ever and wed have 2 wait 4ever. to find out if ryans goin 2 go 2 JAIL or whatnot

I sort of think the whole Ryan and Marissa sleeping together for the first time was sort of rushed. It was sort of strange they were there and meanwhile Jimmy was getting his face pounded. I dunno it just seemed a little fast to me.
