| Senior Member | Okay, so since the newest post at the moment in here is from may 18th I assume that there's no official thread for the season finale - so let this be it! Personally I thought it was one of the best episodes ever (not the best though). I thought it was emotional on so many levels! Of course there was the funeral.. But then I think they painted a really human picture Kirstens drinking problem, with her denial. Seth's problem with sending her off, Sandy dilemma with both Kirsten and Seth - which all colided in me crying when Seth sudenly stood in the door making Kirsten realise she needed help! The tension bewteen Marissa and Trey at the Bait Shop, where you could see her hate! And the way she broke down to Summer - who by the way was really good with both Marissa and the whole situation, and Seth when he was facing his mother having a drinking problem. Then there was "the Coopers making a comeback", which I think is really sweet! And seeing Marissa getting her life together made me so happy, and Marissa giving Julie a hug was just SO sweet, you could see how happy it made Julie! And though she is a true bitch, she really does love Marissa I don't doubt that. Ryans reaction when Seth told him what heppened, you could see how hurt, frustrated and hatefull he was. And the dialog between them...!: Ryan: How could you man? I would have done anything for you! Trey: Look man, it was messed up, I was stoned...! Ryan: It wasn't my idea Trey.. I didn't wanna steal that car... Trey: hmm well, hey man, I went away for it and you got the good loss- Ryan: And you had to destroy it!?! You had to hurt her huh!? It's so powerfull that dialog! AND THEN OF COURSE THE SHOOTING! I mean it was so emtional, and not that much because Trey got shot, but more what happened to Marissa.. Her love for Ryan that she is willing to shoot someone to save him (though it is his brother) and then of course all the hate that must have affected her too.. And then the look in her eyes when she realised what she had done I'm not sure if I Trey is dead or not, I mean he got shot in the right shoulder so he doesn't have to be, but maybe he is I'm not sure.. I hope next season start soon after the shooting episode, like the day fter or something, and now two-three months after, cause that would be really weird! I mean if something like that has happened a lot of stuff can happen in two to three months... Well that must be all from me! ~Alex

I think it was really lovely how Summer tried to help (getting Kirsten some food etc.). And I agree, "The Dearly Beloved" may not be the best episode but I think it's the one with most touching emotions and scenes. It's really great. Well, Marissa would make a great marksman I think we won't see Tray in season 3 again. What 's your opinion?

I think the Dearly Beloved was a really good way to end the season. After hearing all of the spoilers and peoples thoughts about what was going to happen, I wasn't sure what to expect. But it was awesome. I'm so glad that Kirsten finally accepted that she has a drinking problem and that she's getting help. And at the end, I was so shocked when Marissa shot Trey. For a second there, I thought oh no what if she accidently shot Ryan? Thank God she didn't. But I'm pretty sure that Trey is dead because I heard in a trailer that someone becomes a casuality and won't be returning. So I'm assuming that Trey is dead. This will be interesting to see how this effects everyone in season 3, I can't wait!

Oh man the finale was so intense. The spoilers didn't ruin it for me because I don't think that I ever read that Marissa shot Trey when Ryan went to go beat him up after he found out the truth. I had guessed about the Kirsten thing, but it was do different and powerful to actually see it. The finale was a really good episode!!

I thought it was a great episode- maybe one of the best! Marissa shooting Trey was so intense and the look he gave her was kind of scary! Kirsten's acting was great in this episode and it was nice to see the Coopers reunite. The finale was so much better than the Season 1 finale. Roll on season 3!

I thought it was a great episode. I know there's alot of talk about mischa's acting skills, but she was awesome in the end scene, her fear was so real. I liked how josh made references to last season, like Seth and Ryan in the pool together, which we haven't seen since last season. I agree that Summer has become such a totally nice person, coming over with Princess Sparkle and giving Kirsten the plate of food, i love her! I'm going on abit... The humerous bits were good too, Seth's line about oliver (Josh had everyone fooled!) and Jimmy asking Hailey if she'd seen the 'North Shore'! :P Sorry bout the overly long post, i have to find a way to fill my time til season three!

I LOVED it. It was far and away my favorite episode of the second season; I even liked it better than the first season finale. I think more of a jaw dropping cliffhanger is what this show needs for a season finale. I thought the intervention and the reveal of what Trey did to Marissa plotlines were particularly well done. ALL the cast members stepped up to the plate acting-wise. I loved it.

The Dearly Beloved was really a great episode to finish off the season. There was sooo much action.... with kirsten and her drinking problems... all the scenes with her made me cry... it was just too sad :'( and Trey.... i'm pretty sure he's dead. Even Ryan said that he's going to sort it out with Trey 'once and for all' so i'm pretty sure Trey's not going to make a comeback. The shooting scene was great. Loved the music. Suited the scene well. I really dont have any idea of whats to come in season 3... marissa ending up in jail? the cohen's with no kirsten... i'm sure whatever happens, it'll be great
