This episode was a mouth wide open WOW.

It was all about emotions and making the right choices. There wasn't much humour in this episode because the episode didn't call for it.

First off, Caleb's funeral scene. Sure, it was really short and I had developed a small liking to Caleb's character but I guess the scene was short because the episode did not focus on Caleb's death - it focused on things surrounding his death, as well as the Trey/Marissa problem. I thought that the camera time given to the scene was perfect, the effect of the song "Hide and Seek" was amazing and Sandy's snippets of speech were great.

The Sandy/Seth talks were so touching! For once we really got to see them bond. The intervention scene was also very touching and heartwarming - the way Kirsten turned to go and there was none other then Seth standing in the doorway. And the way all of them had a big family hug. Aww! Also, who could forget the hug between Kirsten, Ryan and Seth?

I felt so sorry for Seth in this episode because he was just so sad. Sure, he's been sad throughout the season over Summer (and Alex, I guess) but he knew that overall and at the end of the day he'd have to win Summer back. This time, however, he was sad and confused. He had no idea what he was going to do, his family was breaking apart and for once he actually recognized how self absorbed he had been throughout the year.

I'm so happy that Jimmy's back. I really missed him. And I'm glad that the Cooper family are going to be reunited. The best touch with them though was when Marissa huggled Julie. My heart went out to Julie, especially with that surprised, happy look that she had on her face. No matter what she's done in the past (and she's done alot!) she really loves her daughter more then anything.

Also, I'm glad Summer was there for everyone in this episode. Bringing Princess Sparkles along was such a cute day, and I love the way Summer comforts Seth. She's there for him. Also, she's there for Kirsten and tries to help her. Most importantly, she's there for Marissa when no one else was. I think she made the correct choice by telling Seth about what really happened between Marissa and Trey. She was being a true friend and that just made me love her character more.

Poor Seth, having to tell Ryan about what happened between his girlfriend and brother. And once he did tell Ryan, you could practically see the emotian on Ben's face and you could tell what he was thinking - should he protect his blood related brother or his girlfriend who had consistantly been there for him for the past two years.

The fight scene was done incredibly well. I couldn't believe that Trey was actually going to kill Ryan, after all he said about being blood related. I was sitting in front of my computer screen with my hands over my mouth as I watched Ryan struggling for his life.

I could actually tolerate Marissa for once in this episode. It was clear that she just wanted to protect her love. When she held up the gun, I thought that she was just going to say "Stop it or I'll shoot you!" I, however, gasped out loud when she actually shot him. The song that played (Hide and Seek) was perfect for that moment.

I loved the cliffhanger at the end, with Marissa collapsing against the wall behind her, Ryan walking over to her, and Seth and Summer (hand in hand!) rushing in and starring at Trey's dead (or maybe not so dead) body. No matter what, all four of them are in this together.

I seriously cannot wait until the third season.

great acting from Ben and Logan Marshall Green.

that fight with the two brothers- was like a Cain and Abel thing.
I don't think they were just fighting because of what Trey did to Marissa. There were so many repressed issues between the two brothers.

I loved it.
I was surprised that Trey got shot, i was expecting Marissa to accidently shoot Ryan although looking back on it now it was quite a stupid thought.
I loved the funeral bit. Just how it was done realy impressed me. instead of the whole thing it was just little snippets meaning it was all important. The black lioms driving along the sunny beach seemd kinda wrong because someone had just died, it was awsome. And im sure everyone is sick of hearing about the music, but it was a great choise and it was nice having it back in the end.
Kirstins drug thing didnt interest me much although I liked how she talked to Ryan and told him to basicaly piss off.
The shooting was fairly streight ford and the end when the music came in was a fantastic way to end the season.
I'm very much looking ford to season 3

Yup me too , what a wonderful episode that was ...

I mean brothers fighting like that , really that was such a sad thing to watch but then considering the fact that Trey is an ungrateful asshole who doesnt know how to control himself when he's drunk , I think he deserved what he got !

I thought Sandy and Kirsten parting was the saddest part. I felt awful that they had to go through that after the rough year that they've had.
