Mischa Barton

Somewhere, I'm sure I've got another picture which shows that she does have her ears pierced. If I can find it, I'll post it so you can all see it too.

After a fair bit of searching, I've finally found the other picture which shows that Mischa's ears are pierced. I've posted it here, and you can clearly see the hole in her lobe.

Hope that clears up the question of if she's got pierced ears.

Thanks again for posting the pictures. I guess my question has definitely been answered by them, and you've proved that Mischa does indeed have her ears pierced. I thought it was a bit strange that she apparently didn't have them done, but you've shown that it's actually a case of she does, and just doesn't wear proper earrings all that often.

All this confusion on whether or not Mischa had her ears done, is probably because she pierced them during her acting at the OC. The first pic posted shows no visible holes, but that one is also from season 1, and the first posted which shows her pierced ears, is from season 3.

That would certainly make a lot of sense. It also means that she's not actually had them pierced for all that long. If she had them done before season 3 (I don't think there's any evidence she had them done earlier than that), then she didn't get them done until she was 19, and has only had them done for about 18 months or so.

I wonder why she waited so long to get them done? I had my ears pierced when I was 14, and by the time I was 16, all of my friends had theirs done too. I don't think I know anyone who waited until they were 19 to get theirs done.

I think you're right about when Mischa had her ears pierced. When you look at early pics up to season 2, she doesn't have them done, and the ones where you can see her holes are from around the time of season 3.

As for why she waited so long to have them done, maybe she wasn't all that bothered before. I didn't have mine done until I was 18, because it was something I never really thought about until then. Then again, my mom's never had hers done at all, so maybe that had something to do with it as well. It could well be that Mischa didn't really think about it until then too.

It looks like this is from a TV interview of some kind. I'm not sure where from, as the person who posted it on the other forum didn't say. But it does tell us that in November 2005 when this interview was done (or shown, if it was a prerecorded one filmed earlier in the year), she'd not yet had them pierced. So it looks like she probably did have them done sometime around the end of 2005.

From the interview, it seems clear that she'd been thinking about it for a while before she actually had her ears pierced. Maybe she was like me, when I got mine done when I was 18, and just decided that it was time to get them done...
