I mean this obviously insanely stupid and cruel for me to say, but during my uncle's funeral, even during the viewing, I couldn't believe that he was dead. It comes later, when the person is missing. So, how will you react to the funeral? I mean we have already cried(come on we're hardcore fans!)..So what will you be thinking? Do you think the episode will only be about that? Or do you think it delge into the other character's grief?...I just can't imagine it. I don't know how the OC will be w/out Marissa. What do you guys think? Will it all hit you later?

I think that it has hit a lot of people already but memories and tears will come back during the funeral. Also I am sure she will be truly missed as the fab four are no more (didn't mean to rhyme) and there will never be r/m again!

its going to be soooo sad, but it still hasn't sunk in that she is dead yet, she was a really big part of the oc and i guess everyone i know will cry when they watch it which is quite sad if you think about it!

I just don't want to see the look on everyone's faces (Summer, Julie ect) at the time of her funeral.
I think the funeral scene has some potential (as in filming) and I think it will be alot more emotional and lengthy than Caleb's.
Newport has lost it's drama queen. Obviously, her funeral is going to be huge.
I think her funeral will really hit people. They will actually get to face the reality of the loss of what I think, one of the shows core characters aside with Ryan. If they bring flashbacks like they have in alot of previous season 3 episodes, I think it will be brilliant filming. But extremely sad.

if they decide to show a funeral, which is something they have because they owe it to us, their will be a lot of tears, we will a crying be crying, a river that isn't comparable with the tears that flood when we saw Marissa dying! her death will affect everybody in the long run, of that i'm sure! and how will ryan take this??? for me ryan and marissa were meant to be together! as for summer, she will be devastated but she has seth who will help her through this whole ordeal, ryan is just going to shut down and have his walls all the time up. i think he is going to be afraid to let somebody in that he could possibly grow to love...

I wonder if they will actually have a funeral scene or if the show will pick up at the start of college, skipping over the whole summer. Marissa's death will be a huge blow to everyone. If they don't actually have a funeral scene, I at least hope they have flashbacks to a funeral. I think they owe the fans that much.

Josh said something about picking the show up a few months later and 'putting some distance between us and the tragedy.'

So, maybe no funeral after all. Which is fair enough, you can see why they might not want to drag the whole thing out since Season 4 will be so short.
