Alternate Season Ending

So we all know that Marissa 'died'. However, when Volchek was chasing Ryan and Marissa in the car I got thinking. What if it was Volchek who was the one to die? On the show prior to the season finale the 'next episode preview' did say that SOMEONE would die. Now, we all assumed it would be Marissa due to all the rumours and such floating about. But, during the car chase it could have been Volchek who died and that would surprise the fans and it would not have such a negative affect on the show. Ryan simply could have put on the break and it would have been Volchek to fly off the cliff. In my opinion, that would have been the best way to end it. Marissa still could have gone to work with her dad and leave the show for a while so pursue her film career.

while i would had loved to see that happen, seeing as i hate volchek... i dont think it would have been a good idea.

there werent too many volchek fans out there, except for the people that thought he was incredibly hot.

if he died, big deal.
it wouldnt have made that much of a difference to the show as most people wouldnt give a s***.

marissa dying had a much greater affect on everyone.

Marissa DEFINITELY, 100% died. 1st of all in the ep summary on fox, it says "...And she dies." yes. It couldnt be more clear. Also, in the fox lineup for the next season (on official website on the orange bar click fall lineup or something and then the oc) On the cast, Mischa's name is missing. Also in the picture there, you will see that Mischa is absent in the picture. I'm sorry to clear that up, but i'm afraid i must.

This really sucks!

I want to cry because Marissa was my favorite character. I wish there would have been an alternate ending. And we know she is gone for good because of the media.....(sigh)....

I don't understand why josh thought this would help the show. I mean, so many people love marissa, or r/m, and a lot of those people wont want to watch now. plus, since the oc is a continuous drama, its pretty hard to get new viewers, since they wont understand everything thats going on. I think the show is going to be cancelled unless josh either saves marissa, or ends the show soon anyway.

I wouldn't have been satisfied with her going off on the boat with her dad, and the poeple who are whining & complaining about her death probably wouldn't be either.

ryan should go see volchock with a gun and then he should pull the trigger and we should here the gun go off and then the episode should end
