I am so excited to see how Sean and Christian turn Hollywood upside down. I really think that moving the show to Hollywood is a great way to give the show a facelift without changing too much. And it makes complete sense for Kimber and Matt to move to LA because although there are a lot of Scientologists in Miami, all the really big bigwigs are at the Celeb Centre in LA. So what do y'all think? Love or hate the move?

Just saw an ad that advertised Nip/Tuck would be in Hollywood. Anyone have any insight into why they are making this change?

I think that there are a couple of reasons behind the move. From the creative standpoint, it gives the show a fresh new attitude--the "scene" in Miami is certainly different from the "scene" in LA. Miami has always been kind of a character in the show--providing for scenarios that wouldn't necessarily be appropriate elsewhere (Columbian drug dealers and alligators, anyone?). So we will see how our Docs get along in their new city. Plus there is a lot of baggage for the characters in Miami, in those old homes and offices. After all they have been through, they need a change! Besides that, even though Miami is a plastic surgery hot spot for the rich, the rich and the famous stay at home for their touch-ups. The show is so hot that big stars are clamoring for guest appearances and moving the setting of the show to Beverly Hills/Hollywood makes it much more realistic for some of those stars to appear as themselves. Anyone who has seen the excellent show Extras knows how much fun it can be when stars appear as (and poke fun at) themselves. I can't wait for September!
