President Obama's Wednesday night conference will be carried by ABC, CBS, NBC… but not Fox; Idol results show too important.
One of the networks had to be the first to tell President Barack Obama that whatever he has to say isn't nearly as important as what's on television, and that network is Fox. The home of American Idol has opted not to air Obama's primetime speech this
Wednesday, the Associated Press reports.
Instead, Fox will stick with its regularly scheduled programming during the 8 p.m. hour and air a new Lie to Me. But Fox wasn't worried about not showing a new episode of Lie to Me; they were more concerned that Obama's scheduled 60-minute block
might run long, thus interfering with American Idol, according to The Los Angeles Times.

do u like American Idol?? ever watched?

Hi. No I don't think Idol is all that great. If I want to watch people sing badly and insult each other I can just go to Karaoke night. Although a couple of the "stars" that have come out of the show are pretty good.

And I think fox is smart to air something other than the president. Many people, for whatever reason, will be looking for something to watch besides the same old rhetoric and will probably wind up watching whatever else is on. This might get Fox new viewers?
