Default Naruto Episode 19: The Demon In The Snow

Title: The Demon In The Snow
Naruto Episode 19
Date Written: 10-01-2007

First try at a summary. I am currently working toward ANBU status. I think it's good, but feel free to offer any CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM you feel is needed. Please comment.

As the theme song ends, we see Gatoh's gang standing on the unfinished bridge. Zabuza has recently lost the use of his arms. He asks him why he is here with all his men. Gatoh betrays Zabuza, and informs him that his men are going to kill him. Zabuza seems surprised, and Gatoh explains that he is not worth the money, and calls him a cute baby devil. Zabuza tells Kakashi that their fight is over because he has no more reason to kill the bridgebuilder. Kakashi agrees, then they watch in surprise as Gatoh kicks Haku's corpse, revenge for breaking his arm. Naruto becomes furious and charges at Gatoh, but then Kakashi stops him. Naruto tells Zabuza to do something about it, and Zabuza tells him to shut up, seeing as how Haku is already dead. Naruto questions their relationship, and Zabuza tells him that he was merely a tool. Naruto yells at Zabuza and starts lecturing him on how much Haku really loved him, which is illustrated in several flashback scenes. Zabuza begins to cry, and tells Naruto he doesn't need to say anything else. He says that it was very hard for Haku to fight and kill, but he did it for him anyway. Zabuza then rips the bandages off of his mouth with his teeth, and tells Naruto to give him a Kunai. Naruto tosses the Kunai to Zabuza, who is forced to catch in his teeth due to his arms being rendered useless by Kakashi. While the Kunai is flipping through the air, we see three commerative images of Haku, from young to old. Zabuza begins running at Gatoh, and he panics, running behind his large gang of armed men. One of the men in front tells Zabuza he can't win against such a high number of men. Zabuza proves him wrong, and starts tearing through the gang, killing men with the Kunai in his teeth. He eventually breaks through the gang, and charges at Gatoh. Gatoh looks at him and sees a shadow running towards him, with demonic symbols in the background. Zabuza stabs him once with the Kunai, then is stabbed in the back several more times by the gang, but he keeps on going. Gatoh informs Zabuza that if he wants to go to heaven with Haku, he can go alone, meaning he's never going to be able to kill Gatoh. Zabuza tells Gatoh that he isn't going to the same place as Haku, and that him and Gatoh are going to hell together. He also tells Gatoh that he will become a real demon, and will show him whether or not he's just a cute baby devil in hell. He slashes Gatoh with the Kunai twice more, then spins around, and we see his face transform for a second into that of a Japanese demon. He sends Gatoh flying off of the bridge with a final slash, and Gatoh plunges into the water. Everyone looks on in awe. He only looks at the gang and they drop their weapons and look very scared. They clear a path between him and Haku's corpse. The bloody Kunai drops from his teeth. He only makes it about halfway before the wounds take their toll and he falls to his knees. He looks up and see Haku, in the outfit that he met Naruto with in the forest, and tells him that this is goodbye. He thanks him, then tells him that he is sorry, and falls flat on his face. Naruto shudders and looks away. Kakashi tells him not to look away, because that is how men like Zabuza die. After this, Sasuke begins to wake up. He sees Sakura laying on him, crying. He then becomes fully awake, and says "Sakura. You're heavy." The bridgebuilder and Sakura look at him in shock. Then Sakura hugs him and begins to wail. He tells her it hurts, and sits up. He asks about Haku and Naruto, and Sakura tells him that Naruto is fine, but Haku died. She also tells him that he died somehow when he was protecting Zabuza. Sasuke stands up and waves at Naruto. Then all of a sudden, the gang starts to get angry, seeing how that Zabuza killed their source of income, and are about to ransack the village. Suddenly, a crossbow bolt lands in front of them. They look, and the citizens of the town are all standing on the bridge with weapons. Naruto helps out by performing shadow clone. Kakashi then creates about a hundred clones of himself, and the gang starts to run away in a large boat. The villagers celebrate their victory, and Kakashi walks over to Zabuza, who is laying on the ground. Zabuza asks to see Haku's face one last time, and Kakashi pulls the swords and spears out of Zabuza's back, then carrys him over and lays him beside Haku. Snow begins to fall. Zabuza asks Haku if he is crying. He tells Haku that he was always by his side in life, so he wants to die beside him as well. He painfully moves his arm, then touches Haku's face, and tells him that he wants to go to heaven with him. Naruto, sobbing, explains that a lot of snow fell where Haku was born. Kakashi says that Haku was as pure as the snow. He tells Zabuza that he can go with Haku. Afterwards, it shows Kakashi and his students at the graves of Zabuza and Haku. Sakura asks Kakashi if Ninja are really supposed to be just tools, and Kakashi tells her it is true to an extent. Naruto decides that he is going to make his own way of the ninja. The townspeople thank Kakashi and his students for protecting them, and they leave. The townspeople decide to call it The Great Naruto Bridge. The episode ends there.

Sorry, I was actually just separating my summary (which is too long and detailed I know, but just a first try) from my words which were not in the summary. It is all my work, no plagiarism. I'll try to make it a lot shorter next time. Thanks for the constructive criticism.
Oh, by the way, do you know if you can become an ANBU right after you do your ten summaries, or if there is a sign up period every once in a while.

Default cheers

it's true it's not exactly possible for it to be "too long" especially with this particular episode as it was very eventful.
i understand that you aren't quoting it from anywhere and you were just separating it lol xD

well done for doing my favourite episode, 9 more and you're ANBU

Probably not. It's very unlikely, unless Naruto actually means something in Japanese. I always thought it was just a name though.
