i read the book and saw the film!the book is much better because you can read again and again the parts that are interesting.I think for someone who hasn't read the book the film is difficult ....too many informations and too little time to proccess them...
also i didn't like tom hanks.sorry....

I've read the book so many times.. over 7 that was the last count - i forgot.. I can;t watch the movie yet. singapore is stupid. the government thinks we are too immature to handle all this info n will be idiots n not regard the fiction sign. lol
but a couple of friends n i are gonna try to sneak in lol (we're 14+, 15) lol n the restriction doesn;t allow anyone under 16 lol
My mom watched the movie on the premiere and for a person who didnt read the book she was completely confused bout leigh teabing, remy, silias cryptexes... so, i had to explain it all to her lol but from what i gather, it doesn't give too much evidence that the stuff in the book is real so people won't believe them n the church won't get offended...

the book was better. the end of the movie was kind of weird for someone who allready read the book. but on the other hand there are so many people who allready knew the book, so perhabs it creates a little bit suspense, if the movie has a different ending.

Read the book and then watched the movie.

I really didn't like the book. I didn't enjoy his writing style and thought it was quite poorly written with no real intrigue. The concept was great and I liked all the history and mythology, but could have done with a less drawn out and complicated story. I really couldn't buy the fact that before someone dies they have the energy and know how to construct such an elaborate serious of clues that are so open to interpretation. A bit far fetched on that one.

The movie i thought was better. If it hadn't been based on this book I am sure people would have sung its praises and I guess that was always going to be the challenge for the movie makers when you are interpreting something that has been read by million and millions of people.

But yeah, wouldn't touch the book again, but will happily see the film a second time.
