Serenity, director: Joss Whedon should be available in DVD pretty soon in the States and I beg you to buy it!
1st: You won't regret it
2nd: It would make such a very nice Christmas gift
3rd: You would contribute to the making of the sequels, indeed if SerenityI brings enough money, we will have SernityII and III

Well obviously nothing if you thought that serenity was lame. It was one of the best films of 05. Too bad it made hardly any money and there wont be a sequel. Such a shame.

It is a Space Western based on the cancelled TV Series Firefly, also by Joss Whedon.

It is about Captain Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) and his crew, Zoe (Gina Torres) ,the first mate; Wash (Alan Tudyk), the pilot; Inara (Morena Baccarin), the companion; Shepherd Book (Ron Glass); Kaylee (Jewel Staite), the mechanic; Jayne (Adam Baldwin) the mercenary and the two fugitives doctor Simon Tam (Sean Maher) and his psychic, kinda insane sister River Tam (Summer Glau) who are trying to make a living with any kind of work under the radar of the "Alliance". It takes place 500 years in the future, "Serenity" is the name of the Spaceship which is kinda the 10th character...
Well if you like it watch Firefly, it is even better IMO!

Brilliant film, if you like the witty dialogue in the OC it is in Serenity, but done better.
