not really, pop is more like.. music thats boy bands, girl bands, or just those teenager girl singers for ex:
Jesse Mcartney
Hillary Duff
Lindsay Lohan
Backstreet boys
N*Sync
Britney Spears
ect.

yeah okay that is like pop
but in my opinion ders loads of kinda pops and most bands fall in there somwhere but not with all those people u named

God, I'm struggling with all these music genres for years now, never know what is what exactly...

Anyone got a link for me, Wikipedia style? "Music genres for dummies" or something like that?

I'd like to tell people what kind of music i listen to without having to list all the bands and from what i gather here, it's not only me who's confused with all those classifications...

yeah, i get confused with the whole music genres too. like someone said snow patrol was punk to me the other day which i know for sure they're not. I think its caused a bit of confusement. The Bands I'm into are indie rock...its the main music style i listen to.
