Moonlight deserves a second season at a network that will respect the writers, crew, actors and MOST IMPORTANTLY the fans of the show! We were loyal to our show through changes in leadership, the strike, and a hellish time slot and how were we rewarded? With a cancellation! I'm done with CBS, for good! They don't get me, or the other 7.5 million of us, as viewers and I, for one, no longer have the time or patience for them! Bye Bye Evil Eye Network! Signed - Corco66

Even with all the distractions, (friday night death slot, writers strike, constant personell changes, CBS trying to change its vision and soul), it won its time period and had over 8 million fans and growing. Why? Because the writers and cast, especially the lead Alex O" Loughlin, never lost their dedicaton and love for this love story/adventure. MOONLIGHT became part of our family and this amazing little show will find a new home.

Moonlight was cancelled because the creative team of the show refused to let CBS turn it into CSI with vampires. CBS didn't realize what a gold mine they had. Underneath the vampire detective story was the classic hero's journey as well as an epic love story. It was a show that made viewers think and feel deeply. Fans promoted the show with their own time, money, and buzz as CBS didn't and the fan base was consistent at 7.5-8 million, even after the strike. With bookstores full of vampire romance novels, the movie Twilight (billed at the next Harry Potter franchise), and Johnny Depp doing a new vampire movie, this genre seems ready to explode. The smart network that picks up Moonlight can only grow its viewership.

SciFi would be smart to pick Moonlight up.
DirecTV would be smart to get involved by helping to fund it.

Moonlight has built up a large, passionate, international, (I myself am an Aussie), dedicated fanbase. This is despite CBS trying their best to make the show fail, be it attempts to change the direction of the show which resulted in the loss of the original showrunners, or their lack of promotion of the show.

Just imagine how successful Moonlight could be on a network that actually gives a damn about it and gives it a real chance to grow to its full potential.

There's still so much of the story to be told, and so much of the characters personalities, histories, and relationships still to be explored. Hopefully SciFi will come to the rescue and capitalise on CBS' huge mistake.

Moonlight is a great show with limitless potential. It has one of the hottest romances in decades as well as sexy, intelligent vamps that could draw almost any sci-fi viewer in if they just give them a chance. Alot of the viewers came to the show mid season, as with any new show, it can take an episode or two to get its footing but by episode 16 Moonlight was a complete solid piece of entertainment. Moonlight won its demographic and time slot every week without much advertising or support from CBS. Its viewer base returned after the writer strike in force to support the show. It has over 8 million Nielsen viewers and millions more uncounted viewers both in the USA and internationally. Many watched it online or the next day via their DVR which is not counted in the current rating system.

If Sci-fi wants to entice millions of female fans to their network, dedicated enough to promote the show, and bring even more viewers then they should pick up Moonlight.

Moonlight has inspired so many people to try and make the world a better place, giving blood, supporting food drives, registering as marrow donors...not so bad for a little vampire drama. The genre has never been more popular, and this show does such an original take on the mythos, it deserves more seasons to work its magic. Sci Fi could be making the smartest move of its history, giving this fanbase a new home. Advertisers take note--these fans are very serious about putting their money where their vampire is.

There are 8 million Moonlight fans just in the USA. THe international fan base is not counted, and it's growing. We are all working together on this. And actually, we are working with Jericho fans too. Fans gotta stick together to try to improve the quality of network tv, unless we are satisfied with formulaic and reality shows to the exclusion of all else!!
