moonlightAlex O'Loughlin will live to act another day.  The Australian actor is presently dealing with the unfortunate news that his vampire detective series Moonlight has been canceled by CBS.  Nevertheless, his agent Nathan Morris of June Cann Management remains confident that O'Loughlin won't be out of work for long.

"He has got a whole raft of things to read through - a role like this has definitely opened plenty of doors," Morris told news.com.au. "The key is to strike while the iron is hot."

Moonlight is an awesome show and Alex O'Loughlin has definitely proven to be a very talented actor that I believe will be in great demand. The Moonlight fans have not given up on Moonlight, as we are working very hard to give other networks the opportunity of grabbing up this hot series. Moonlight has amassed an average of 8 million dedicated fans (I truly believe this number is higher, but the ratings system is severely flawed and doesn't accurately represent the viewing population) and this would be a tremendous boon to many of the other networks. Moonlight consistently won its time slot and the demo on Friday night at 9pm and although it was off the air for 4 months, the fans came back in full force when the new episodes aired in May! How sad...you know what they say...you don't know what you got till it's gone... CBS really made a mistake in letting this one get away.

I hope Alex has a new show soon. Even though I am going to miss Moonlight and would of loved another network picking it up, I know that is not going to happen. Beth and Mick looked like they are happy and I would of loved to know if Beth would of let Mick turn her. I will look for Alex's new movie and see if I want to go watch it.

As much I loved Moonlight, I wish Alex well in his career. I do hope he will get another show on TV-JUST NOT ON CBS.

I can only see him as Mick! Hopefully another network will do the right thing and pick up this show for another season. That's all I am thinking about right now.

Alex will be back on Moonlight! The fans will see to that!!

Don't expect Moonlight fans to campaign for a few days and then give up.... we are in it for the long haul and will do whatever is necessary to ensure a pickup by another network! We will prevail!!

Watching Alex in ANYTHING would be a treat! However, I want him back in Moonlight. I have said this before, 8 million people can't be wrong. CBS, you screwed up BIG TIME!!!!
