Jaso Dohring and Sophia Myles, MoonlightCBS didn't give Moonlight or its fans a long time to prepare for this, the series finale. Earlier this week, when it became official that the show would not be renewed for a second season, tonight's episode, “Sonata,” became both a season and series finale.

Josef (Jason Dohring) is donating a lot of money to Hearst College, which I pray is a brilliant homage to Veronica Mars. In attendance is Dominic, some big shot basketball star. Beth (Sophia Myles) and Mick are accompanying Josef to the swanky party. Josef introduces them to Simone, his human lady lawyer friend and part-time beverage. As Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) and Beth enjoy a nice date, screams ruin the night as they find Dominic dead, with Simone standing over the body.

As sad as it was to watch fthe final show, it had a very sweet ending. Mick and Beth finally together. Will miss the show and the actors. Good luck to all of you.

It was filmed with the intent of the show returning, then they get the plug pulled and fans are left with nothing.

it was so hard to watch it knowing that could be the last of the show. However, if it truly was the last show than I'm so glad they ended it the way they did. I was a sobbing mess at the end and then everything was good again when Mick turned back to go to Beth. It would of been horrible if the show ended with him just walking away. I really hope this isn't the end though!!!!

i was very sad to hear the cancellation as well. I thought Mick and Beth were a great couple and I would of loved to know how their relationship would of turned out. Would Beth let Mick turn her so that they could stay together forever? Too bad we will never know. I am so glad Mick told Beth that he loves her. Even vampires need love too.

Hopefully another network will pick up this show. As my favorite TV shows are being pulled off I find my DVD collection growing. Pretty soon I won't be watching TV at all.

Maybe Sci Fi will pick it up? It would fit in perfectly with the network.
