moonlightAs the star of Moonlight, Alex O'Loughlin couldn't be more pleased with fans that have put in great efforts, not to mention blood, sweat and tears, to promote the CBS freshman series.  But among all the campaigns, what recently and significantly caught the Australian actor's attention is the fact that fans have come up with a philanthropic act that supports the series and helps save lives at the same time.

As reported recently, fans have launched a blood drive in association with the American Red Cross to request the network to renew Moonlight for a second season and to celebrate new episodes of the vampire detective series when it returns on Friday, April 25.

Moonlight is a great show, and the fans are devoted. It's wonderful to know that this initiative has caught O'Louglin's attention.

In addition to the national blood drive, there are also ongoing drives to donate money to the Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles and also a food drive for the needy in Los Angeles! We can only hope that CBS will show Moonlight fans that their generosity is appreciated by announcing the renewal of Moonlight for a second season!

It was nice to hear that Alex O'Loughlin is grateful for what the fans of Moonlight have done to support the show. Devoted fans we are and we love Moonlight.

They better bring this show back. I am sick of losing good shows for them to put on shows that suck. I have already lost 3 shows this year and have 3 more on the bubble. If it keeps going the way that it seems to be, it is going to be 90% reality shows and 10% actually written shows.

I ready hope Moonlight gets a second season. It is a great show and the characters and storyline is fantastic. I can't understand why the have not been picked up already and why we have to wait so long for their answer.

Ya CBS has a bad rep. of how they handle their shows. I really hope Moonlight get's a second season though. This show is so great there's no excuse why it wouldn't keep on going. =)

I thought it was cheese-o-rific at first, but then as the episodes progressed, I HAD TO see what happened. The episode where Beth takes that Dark Crystal drug-blood thing was reeealy cool Hope to see the show next season!!
