moonlightMoonlight fans have been patiently waiting for almost three months for new episodes of the CBS vampire detective series since it aired its last installment in January. Nevertheless, supporters of the show have decided to make use of the hiatus to creatively come up with an initiative to support and give the series a bloody welcome when it returns on Friday, April 25.

To show their dedication to the freshman series, and more importantly to request that CBS renew Moonlight for a second season, fans have organized a national blood drive, which will be held at various locations nationwide from April 18 through April 27.

This is a good thing for the show and for the blood banks that need blood for all the victims in the wildfires. Not only does it show how the fans can help other people but show support for the show with the theme being blood.

This is a great action and it supports a wonderful cause (helping to replenish blood banks), while bringing light to another important cause for many fans (bringing Moonlight back for more seasons). I hope a lot of people support this cause...it is a worthy one.
