Oh, Jason Dohring. So charming during the first season of Veronica Mars, so annoying every moment after that. This news falls in the "annoying" category.

I respect Jason as an actor, and his religious choice, that doesn't mean I respect Scientology as a religion. Which is why I didn't want to start talking about it LOL.

Debbie, even though he is a Scientologist, he really is very sweet and he has a good heart. He doesn't really talk about it that often or force it upon people. He's such a nice person and he really just likes making people happy.

This is true, mei, I didn't even know he was a Scientologist before today, so he's definitely better than the ones who won't shut up about it.

Wow, people really circled on this one like sharks to blood in the water! The last time I checked Jason Dohring was an American citizen who had the right to worship as he pleased. I could care less if the man worships a ficus in his backyard in his bathrobe - it doesn't affect me, or you.
Leave him alone. I have never heard one single negative comment about Jason from someone who has met him.
For those not jiving the Scientology thing....don't most other religions have a little book that says something along the lines of "judge not lest he be judged". Oh wait - it's not Sunday is it....so all bets are off.

I have said nothing but good things about Jason and that I respect his choice to believe. That said however, I can still have an opinion on something just as Scientologist have a very degrading opinion on *my* religion. They are scary. They once trapped my boyfriends sister in their main location in LA for hours, refusing to let her leave. Heath used to be in Second City in LA (an improve group) and when his teacher did a spoof on Scientology, she got a threatening message left on her apartment door telling her not to do that skit anymore or she would regret it.

I personally don't like to comment on religion or anything in that subject manner.. but I will say I do think that Jason is a very impressive actor e isn't one dimensional.. He can hit every angle and play just about any character. So if scientology helps then keep it going cause you can only get better and at this point I think he's at the top of his game. Love his new character Josef on Moonlight but def. miss him as Logan on V mars

Jason amazes me with his intensity. If he finds some kind of spiritual need filled through Scientology, like I said before, more power to him. I think its great. I haven't really watched Moonlight, but the first season of Veronica Mars and his performace in it is pure gold.

Just so people don't get the wrong idea, the Portrait article was not an actual interview with Jason but rather a feature on Jason with quotes taken from various interviews that he has done.

It did honestly seem strange that he would do an interview specifically about Scientology. He doesn't really talk about it or bring it up. If someone asks him about it, I'm sure he's more than willing to give you his thoughts, but he's not really big about pushing his religion.
