Alex O'Loughlin as Mick on MoonlightCBS' Moonlight has lost another important member of its production team.

According to TV Guide's Michael Aussiello, showrunner Chip Johannessen has been let go from the vampire drama series starring Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin.  This is the second major behind-the-scenes shakeup for the show, with original showrunner David Greenwalt, Johannessen's predecessor, vacating his post over the summer for health reasons.

I have read the those four shows will determine if Moonlight will be picked up for the fall. It will all depend on the rateing-so if a fan get others to watch.

It's crazy how much tinkering they've done with this show in such a short amount of time.

I hate to hear of the depatrure of Chip Johannessen, but I have complete faith in the other writers/producers to pull off 4 great new episodes. Frankly, as long as Moonlight is renewed I do not care who is at the helm.

While I'm glad for the four new episodes, I'm not so happy that Moonlight wasn't mentioned in the fall lineup. Here's hoping that changes.
