Last week, Moonlight fans witnessed an unexpected twist to the Mick-Beth-Josh love triangle as Josh ended up at the hands of death in the episode “Love Lasts Forever.” While the loss of a noble character may be heartbreaking, his absence on the show may positively shape the future for Mick and Beth. Episode 11 centered on Josh working on the biggest case of his career, a conviction against a member of the most dangerous gang in the world. In an attempt to force Josh to drop the case, the gang threatened Beth, but Josh refused to fold and asked Mick to protect her. Unfortunately, Josh went out unguarded and was kidnapped and stuffed into a car. In the end, Josh was shot to death right before Beth's eyes. In attempt to save him, Beth desperately asked Mick to turn Josh into a vampire but Mick refused to do so. To read the rest, click here.

Love Lasts Forever broke my heart! It was such a fantastic episode and my favorite so far. I loved Josh and it hurt to see him die. He was a good man and a wonderful boyfriend to Beth. I'll miss him. Jordan did a fantastic job on Moonlight. Can't wait to see what's going on with tonight's episode. I'm upset that it's the last one of the season.

This really was a good episode. I'm sad to see Josh go, I liked his character, but understand why they did it ...

Great spoiler i'm from australia so we're like about 5 episodes in. Wondered how they were going to do it, cause he was a nice guy and didn't do anything to be considered an ass or make him easy for beth to dump. Can;t wait!

It was sad to see him go; however, I believe it was a necessary move on behalf of the writers. It's obvious that there is some chemistry between the two, a certain level of sexual tension. Josh was one of the many things that stood in the way of Beth and Mick getting together. There was a certain level of obligation to stay with Josh that Beth had to deal with. The death of Josh, in a way, breaks down this obstacle, but it also complicates things a bit. The absence of Josh may eventually facilitate the formation of a relationship between Beth and Mick, but at the present time, his death distances them becuase Beth resents Mick for not turning him.....so that he could "live" forever.
