Are you serious? Buffy was not in HS forever. The 6th season of the show dealt with some pretty GROWN-UP issues, furthermore Angel the Series never took place in HS. I said my piece in the first page of this article and would not have said anymore if people would not have attacked Debbie for her POV. Just as you all are entitled to love the show she is entitled to disagree, and to tell her to go watch Buffy and Angel just was uncalled for. There is no comparison in the shows Buffy and Angel blow Moonlight out of the water.

I am not bitter, i'm glad you all enjoy the show.If i came off bitter i really didn't mean to but i am quite protective of Joss Whedon creations.

You must be watching Moonlight when you are high on something because Moonlight is the best show on TV. You went into it wanting to hate it, so you had to make it a self-fulfilling prophesy. I could give up every other show but Moonlight. The chemistry between Mick and Beth is electric. I love everything about it!

Moonlight has gotten better and better each week. I think it is the best new show on TV this fall by far.

Debbie Chang should have watched more than five minutes of the first episode before totally trashing the show. "Buffy" or "Angel" it's definitely not-it's a fresh look at vampire lore.

Each week the show improves upon itself. The writing gets cleaner and tighter and the characters mesh more and more. Alex O'Loughlin is full of charm and charisma and is making Mick St. John his own-never mind fans find him irresistably handsome. (the reviewer should check out Amazon.com and see how many people are viewing/buying his earlier work) The reviewer must be robotic if she can't feel the tension building weekly between the lead characters.

I too loved "Buffy" and to a lesser extent, "Angel". Comparing them to "Moonlight" is comparing apples and oranges. "Moonlight" is by far one of the best new shows on television!

Hmm, I have to disagree with you. Moonlight's cast is excellent! I haven't had the pleasure of enjoying the work of a more charismatic actor than Alex O'Loughlin in years! And the chemistry between him (Mick) and Sophia Myles' Beth is just intense and wonderful!
Moonlight *works* on so many levels, I haven't room to break it all down here . . . but judging by your poll results, you are in the minority. Long live Moonlight . . please!!!

Well, this show is hooking every woman I know from my teen aged daughters to my wife. The kids have moonlight parties in their dorm and it seems to be "the" show of the season for chicks. They must be doing something right.

First, Mick does have reason to want to be "good" so to speak.. he remembers what it is like to be human and he doesn't want to forget that so he fights against doing so. And if the writer of the article had paid more attention to the shows he would realize that stakes and sun DO have an effect. Stakes paralyze and sun can kill if exposed long enough to it without having blood to feed upon to regenerate. Yes, the writers have taken some liberties with these things, but then most writers do. I personally think Mick is sexy and appealing as a vampire and I haven't missed an episode yet. I think it has good storylines and the tease of better things to come is there.
