Well since I can't reply to a forum i'm just going to put everything I have to say here.
Sylar was a timepiece fixer, he sees how things work how they "tick". He takes other supernatural powered peoples' brains and he sort of does a labotomy. From the labotomy he sees how their brains worked, and how they are different from a normal persons. Then he mysteriously gains their abilities when his brain changes "fixes" itself to work like their brains. I believe it is a permanent thing.

Some theories I have:
Charlie had super memory. The haiti man can destroy memory, and block other teleketic abilities. I think Charlie had the power that could have been opposite of the Haitian. So The Haitian could not have destroyed her memory. If Sylar has charlies power now I think the Haitian can't destroy his memory. (otherwards maybe he would have to make him less dangerous.)
Peter shares the super-abilities of whoever he is around. I think that if Sylar does the labotomy along with Peter on another super individual they will both gain that victim's powers permanently. (Giving peter some of his own powers permanently as well as his absorbtion ability.) Now that would be a horrible combination. Also, when Peter is around Sylar he should have all of his powers, his disadvantage is the lack of knowledge pertaining to what powers Sylar has acquired. All Peter needs to do is find a way to "job" shadow Sylar. (Peter is the Anti-Sylar.)
Also if Peter and Sylar did a labotomy on Claire they could get her power then just pop her brain back in and she would heal... There, no harm done and three people can regenerate.
Other than that I'm totally open for some new episodes lol.
