So here's my next hairbrained theory. The Oceanic Six have not 100% been confirmed & named, 10000% yet, at least as far as I know. The producers have not said Aaron is absolutely the 6th one. With that in mind... I'm suspicious that Christian Shepherd is the 6th of the Oceanic Six. Yes, I know it's WAY out there. But check this out-- * Christian Shepherd's body is not found in the casket * Christian has appeared several times to Jack on the island * Christian talks to Vincent in a Mobisode and says "Go find my son." He's talking to a dog. Why would this not be Christian. * In Jack's flash-forward in the hospital, he tells the new chief of surgery, "Go find my Dad, and if he's not more drunk than I am..." as though he's still alive. * Jack hadn't delivered an official death certificate to the US yet, so no one knew Christian was dead other than Jack & the peeps in Australia. He could easily arrive back in the US as though he had returned from Australia w/Jack after the crash. * THE MAN IN THE CASKET---I think it could be Christian Shepherd. He has no family left other than Jack. Claire is assumed dead. No one would go visit him, other than Jack. This is a huge leap, I know. Whatcha think? I think I've lost my mind but that's nothing new

I remember after the epidode "meet Kevin Johnson" they showed the preview for the next episode, and the announcer guy said something like "now the oceanic six have been revealed...." and showed flashes of Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Jin, and Aaron. He still has a major role to play in the story but i dont think Christian is 1 of the O6.

I'm not sure, but I think Lindelof and Cuse mentioned that Aaron is one of the six on one of their podcasts. I believe that the Christian that Jack saw on the island is like the Charlie that Hurley saw off the island. I have no idea what it is, but I'm pretty sure it's connected to the island. And my theory on the man in the coffin is that it's a cover-up by Ben and the Oceanic Six. The funeral may be for someone we know of, but the body inside is not him/her.

Oh and on the subject of Christian....... I remember reading that part of the description of the coming episode is Jack tries to identify a body that washes up on shore. i got a sneaking suspicion that its Christian. (if not, then Mikhail or Charlie)

Ok...all of that makes perfect sense. I haven't watched ALL of the podcasts and web posts on the planet so I wasn't too sure. jvince, I can also agree that Christian is like Charlie showing up off the island...I had thought about that as well and it makes a lot of sense. Still, I wonder! The only thing about the annoucement "Now that the Oceanic 6 has been revealed" that makes me wonder is that Lost has done stranger things before. One of the podcasts the producers tell us "You've seen smokey recently, probably without realizing it" and that always makes me wonder if what we're watching is what we think it is. I figured this theory would get debunked pretty quickly. I'm searching for reasons to explain Christian's appearance to Vincent, and the way he says "Go find my Son" as though it's really him.

Yeah, that one was pretty weird. Is it Smokey? Is it the Island? I have no idea. I hope they explain those soon.
