| Member | There is a lot of speculation as to who makes it off of the Island. The genius behind the show is that it directs the viewer to concentrate on the obvious so that we can be surprised when the outcome is different then what we antsipated. just because there are six members of the Oceanic that are rescued does that mean that those are the only people to leave the Island? Now that we know Charles Widmore is the man behind the boat, Who else do you think makes it to the boat or at least off the island? 1 What if Desmond, Ben (who we know leaves the island at some point),and Juliet make it off the island, but are not rescued with the other six, possibly because they know that this would not jive with the story the O6 are forced to tell, or they are still held captive. 2. Charles widmore would not want Desmond to reconect with Penny so one would assume he may still be held captive 3.Perhaps the only way that Jack can get the survivors rescued is to give Ben to the boat people. Upon doing so he realizes he made a mistake as they are not willing to rescue the remaining survivors. 4. Sayid is starting to understand the "mind traveling" thing and may eventually realize that Widmore's desire for the island will prevent not only the rescue of the remaining O815 but that he must help Desmond, who may eventualy be held captive. This might be what turns him to Ben's side. 5. We are led to believe that thru Desmonds dream Claire makes it onto the helicopter. However, I would conclude that she does not survive the trip back. There is no way that she would willingly give up her child to Kate or anyone unless she was put in a situation that would make her chose between her own life and Aaron's . My theory is that upon her demise. Jack feels responsible, and since Ben knows everything about everything he tells Jack that he is Aarons Uncle making him feel so guilty that he can not bare to look at Aaron. The writers love to use allusions to Star Wars and what greater one is there than the "evil" Darth Vader telling Luke that he has a sister. 6. Jack concludes that he must go back to the Island to not only rescue the remaining survivors but prevent Charles Widmore from explioting the island After realizing Ben is not the REAL bad guy. |

| Sawyer will be the last of the Oceanic 6. He is also the person in the casket that Jack goes to visit at the end of season 3. Aaron is not one of the oceanic 6 because he does not get rescued with the Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sun, Sayid & Sawyer. He is removed from the island separately and placed with Kate out of the public eye. Try and follow my hair-brained logic here and tell me if I'm not making sense: At the end of season 3 the hatch exploded (near the beach) while certain individuals were on the other side of the island: Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sawyer & Michael were on a dock with Ben while Sun, Jin, and Sayid were offshore on the sailboat. So far, we know that Kate, Jack, Hurley, Michael, Sun, & Sayid, have BOTH safely left the island and were not near the radioactive explosion. There are two other people that have left the island that were near to the explosion: Desmond and Aaron. Desmond almost died because he was near the explosion. How did Aaron get off the island and not have Desmond's problem? Does Claire make a deal with Ben to lead him to safety? Think about it. Last edited by jbdc : 03-20-2008 at 01:58 PM. | No, the Oceanic 6 are: Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, Sun, and Aaron -- but that doesn't mean that some other Losties (aren't out and about in the world under different names (like the way Michael and Walt are/were). |

| I believe Juliet and people like that get off too, and they aren't part of Oceanic 6. So some of the survivors of the flight can easily go with the bunch that weren't on the flight. |

| i doubt Ben will let juliet get off the island -- but maybe she agrees to stay and continue her work if ben will let Jack and the other Oceanic 6 get off. the power of love, you know (although I don't really feel their relationship -- it's a little forced). |

| I actually don't believe that Aaron is one of the Oceanic Six either. If he is, then the plot is marked with a pretty big hole. 1. Claire was presumably 8 or 9 months pregnant when she boarded the plane. 2. Kate was not pregnant. 3. Even if Kate did become pregnant after the crash, just prior, or enough time before to not be "showing", there would be a massive lag between the developmental stage Aaron is at and the one that a supposed child borne of Kate would be. There is normally a huge difference between infants six months apart. I don't know. I think there's another person, though I don't believe it's Sawyer. |
