Default Jacob

Does Jacob have to be just one person?
I'm not talking about hosting. I'm talking about more than one person being Jacob.
Who am I thinking of?
John, Jack and Sawyer can be Jacob they are not aware of it now, in this time but will realize it. I know its a stretch but in re-watching past episodes. There was a couple of times where each of their personal qualities and description by others personify Jacobism

Jacobism meaning reliance and loyalty to the island.
And leadership. They are hunters, healers, and tricksters.

I'm going to do some more research and add to this theory if I'm wrong ...oh well, wouldnt be the first time but its fun to try to put the pieces together

Default Jacob wears white tennis shoes....

Here's a little candy for you all...

There was a clip that was recently posted (I believe it was on the official ABC web site) of a cut scene from Season 1. In the scene, Jack's dad is on the island, directing Vincent (the dog) to find Jack. What I thought was interesting was the clothing of Christian Shepard (Jack's father). He had on a suit and tie, and WHITE TENNIS SHOES.

Now, go back to the Season 4 episode where Hurley falls behind the group and finds (stubbles upon, or... Jacob intentonally appears to Hurley; whatever the case may be) Jacob's cabin. If you slow this scene down, the camera intentially starts at Jacobs feet, sitting in the rocking chair, and slowly moves up to the head before the face flashes in front of our view and Hurley freaks out. You will notice that the person (most likely Jacob) sitting in the rocking chair has on a suit and tie and WHITE TENNIS SHOES. Aside from the shoes, the image's face/hair very much appears to be Jack's father. But the evidence of the shoes is a pretty solid connection.

Perhaps I'll go back to the eposode were Jack sees his fatherfrom a distance while sitting, talking with Rose on the beach. What was Christian Shepard wearing in that scene, particularly on his feet? Curious.

Jacob could be what the survivors are really seeing when they see apparations on the island, like jacks dad and kate's pony.
That could be Jacobs way of communicating

Default Jacob and the "One" theory

I feel that Jacob is someone who is caught in "limbo". Someone who has seen what has happened because they were on the island and became trapped due to time/space tests as seen in the Orchid training video or Faraday's tests with the missle. Jacob is leading people to come and "save him" but the is unsucessful because the "One" who can see him keeps changing. Also, Ben said whomever the Island has choosen gets two things (he didn't say it like this but in two different episodes this is eludeded to): What ever they truley want Via the "Box" and they get to communicate with Jacob. While we are lead to believe that Locke was the "One" and Hurley supposedly saw Jacob...I feel that either the "One" leadership status either changes or we haven't discovered who the "One" is.

IMHO, I feel that Sawyer is the one. Before you go "What?!?", hear me out. Who is the one person who wanted to see Locke's father more than Locke himself? James Ford. I feel that Sawyer/Ford summoned him to the island via the "box".

Just my two lincolns.

I think Sawyer does have a bigger part than just being the local bad ass I think he will be involved in someway in the Jacob scenario. How? Dont know. But if my theory is correct that Jack ,John and Sawyer are jacob or part of jaocb then that would explain much.

Now Hurley seeing the cabin puts a hole in this theory.
of course.

I think you guys may be wrong about sawyer being more important than has been revealed so far. If in not mistaken, in an interview it was revealed that a "major" character would be killed soon. Well we know its not Kate, Jack, Ben, Sayid, or Hurley. I dont think it will be Desmond. And i am believe that Sun and Jin are the final 2 of the Oceanic 6. That leaves me to think the one who dies will either be Juliet, Locke, Sawyer, or Claire. It would be safe to assume Claire seeing on how it owuld explain the whole Aaron thing, but IMO she's not a "major" character. IMO the same goes for Juliet, her death wouldnt be "important" to the show. That leaves either Locke or Sawyer IMO. If Locke died, that would be major, but i dont see it being him. I believe that Sawyer will die. He is a popular character, so it would be "major" and it would be unexpected. But it kind of makes sense....he really hasnt brought anything of important to the show other than the "love triangle" which we found out no longer exists in the future....just my thought though

I highly doubt that Sawyer will be killed off. That would not be a smart move by the Money driving Lost. Claire would be a more reasonable choice. She has been an Island beauty since season one, but her character revolves more around her son and her pregnancy rather than around her character in specific. Yes, it was revealed that she is Jack's sister, but that hasn't been story-changing as of yet. It will most likely be made known to Jack's character in a future episode or season, perhaps leading him to want to commit suicide or whatever. Why doesn't Jack want to see Aaron in the future? Something has to be said regarding Claire and Jack in that regard. Something happened. Hurley even told him, "I don't think we made the right choice Dude."

I just feel, based on the totality of the show, that Claire is far less connected to the core audience than is Sawyer. Claire will go before Sawyer. We'll just have to wait and see.

Good posting though brother.

I was just thinking about how claire mostly walks around cradling Aaron and looking puzzled so I would think she is going to be the one to be eliminated. Aw

I think Jacob and the smoke monster are one and the same, and is capable of appearing as anything - Christian Shepherd, Eko's brother, etc.
