Penny Knows About The Island

I havent read through all the theories so if you heard this one before than move on.

I just finished rewatching season 2 and its better the second time around because with more knowledge it makes more sense.....you know what I mean

The last scene of "Live Together, Die Alone" there are two European men stuck in some kind of lookout station. They are supposed to notify Penny when an electromagnetic enomaly is detected.

The numbers arent punched in, Desmond uses the fail safe which cause the island to go through some bright light and deafening occurence. This incident causes the enomaly to be detected.

So if Penny has two men awaitng this occurence , she has to know about the qualities of the island, just like Ben knows , the natives, Minkowski and Farady know.

The only way that Penny could have found out is if Daddy Widmore was careless with his private business matters and she got some info on his participation with the Dharma initutive.


That being said here is a review of what I got from Season 2

So Dharma people know about the island and settle in with their stations.
Unbeknownst to them natives are on the island
They find that the island bares this electro magnetic quality that ...what?....causes things to be pulled into it, the plane, Black Rock, Heroin laoded carrier planes and who knows what else but they also know that it can be controlled. They figure out a way to ocontrol it and part of the procedure is punching in the code.

Dharma makes up this fagazi story about the experiments to make sure that the procedure is strictly followed and to furthur insure they set up a station "The pearl" to watch the key punching station, Kelvin, Razinsky and then Desmond

Something went wrong. (The Purge) could have something to do with the decay and negligence of the Dharma project. This purge was probably something that the natives (Who know the island) manipulated Ben to do thus saving the island from outsiders trying to corrupt it

The second time the button wasnt pushed could have not only cause the electro magnetic field to be exposed but now it has effected time.

The fact that Penny knows to look for the electromagnetic anomaly does indeed beg the question---how the hell does she know about it. I'm also guessing it's a daddy Widmore business enterprise and that Penny found out somehow once Desmond was lost.

I don't think, however, that the second anomaly affected time. I think the island has always had time/space issues and that the second anomaly simply "turned up the dial" on whatever forces are at work there.

Remember, that Ben Linus as a little kid wanders out into the forest chasing after his mother (S2 I think?) and comes across freaky Richard Alpert, who miraculously 30yrs or so later looks exactly the same age. Seems that time is one of the many attributes the island messes with and has from the beginning.

True. perhaps the second anomaly was a booster shot of the time /space issue gave it more power or something like that
