The Island Time Travels- Theory

The island travels through time itself, that's why it can't be detected; because it's not there.

Only every now and then it stops in a certain time period, perhaps when they've pinned it down or some such.

This could also explain that very old looking foot-statue, which looks like an ancient civilization came along and started doin some shiz. Same with the Black Rock, etc, all different time periods.

That's my little theory, I haven't got much evidence other than the different time periods, and that Oceanic 815 was found in 2008, but they got there in 2004 thing.

I like this theory

While possible, this theory gets tough to believe because Richard Alpert, Ben and Ethan have obviously travelled off the island, brought people back and left again.

Methinks there's a way to control it or the island stops it certain time periods or something funky like that.

Like how dan told them to stay on the right bearings... Maybe if they slip off course they'd go into a wierd time fuxxup.

I agree Dan was adamant about the bearings and ben told Michael to follow a specific course also. He told them if he followed the course given he would be sure to be found.
