This would explain Desmond seeing a future where he was reliving events prior to the crash. He was also rescued off the island but wouldn't be considered one of the Oceanic 6 because thats not how he got on the island to begin with. Its possible many more were rescued and chose to get on the plain again to renter the loop.

We'd also have to resolve how the payload rocket is sent from the freighter if the freighter is in another time field, and how the Losties have spoken with the peeps ON the freighter and had Daniel Farraday sent at Jack's request.

Some of the theory rings well in my head but about half of it isn't resolving well given what we know.
