SE4 EPP1 title Begining of the end, we see the first newcomer to the island this season and His boss as reviled in epp 2, and we know 2 more come after him so 4 new characters= 4 horsemen that usher in the end times.

ok where to start lets say Russo, she has been on island 16 years island time and is only surviveing member of her crew, has detailed maps of island, with song lyrics on them, numbers, and changed the recording at the brodcast tower. She is proficent in hunting, tracking,booby traps, hiding, spying, explosives, all around tough gal. and she was a scientist? I think she was part of a team sent to accomplish the same or similar goal as the currebt team, but could not do so on her own and got trapped on the island. Note she can find her way around quite well and seems to think there is a security system on the island. It is possible they also brought someone to man the Swan station to keep it operational.

Desmond knew of "hostile forces" as taught to him by Rad, From the stand point of DHARMA that would be the natives and Ben. Maybe someone should ask Ben "what did one snowman say to the other" and see his response, my guess was it was a joke he and his girl shared when he was younger

Next I want to note how Strom reacted to Jules, he didnt like the idea that she was a native more evidence that teh Boat people are part of or somehow working with the creators of DHARMA, and most likely the Natives are posing to be them to recruit new members.

Ok now for the messed up part. What if Ben has a son born in the outside world. Jules knows the island makes the men have higher sperm count,maybe a sample was sent off island and a woman was artifically inseminated. So now following that, for Ben to join the others He had to kill his dad, for Locke to join his dad had to die but he just had to allow someone to do it. Maybe Bens Son has to rid of Daddy dearest to claim his place.

Ok we know they released vid of Dr Candel and the bunny, and the brain wash rooms hidden message of "Only fools are enslaved by time and space" So here is the Polar bear theory. They needed a large strong animal to complete some sort of task so they train Polar bears (to quote se3 "the einstine of the bears" also a person of intrest in time) for the task and to trun on the maching that made the bunny appear that way no human would risk being injured or accidently transported through time and space. Therefore sending the bear through Space/Time to be found Later by CS.

As I am sure we all suspect the flight 815 wreckage was a coverup. proof, the pilots missing ring and the condition of the wreckage, the plane was pretty intact and realtively clean looking to have been under water long enough for the bodies to be that bad.

Next. Ben and locke were both suprised that Hurley saw the cabin. Maybe Dave and other things he has seen are more of a psychis ability and not a psychosis, And Charlie is dead but Hurley can see him. Much the way Strom can commune with the dead. I think an issue will come up where Hurley can see and communicate better with Jacob than anyone else can and find out that Ben and Locke are both trying to folloe his directions but not getting it quite right. Hence Im sorry I went with locke comment to Jack.

Next the Storm seemed to have stopped when the Heli landed, I think the weather experiemnts were part od a defence mechnism to protect from aircraft landings

Next Jack, "he walks among us but is not one of us" a warning to the others that his dad died but he was not responsible for it and therefore should not be part of them.

Ok the more ideas I had promised.

The 4 toe statue much like The Colossus of Rhodes was a tribute to a great figure, either a God of sorts or a very powerful leader. Possibly Jacob. Now back to the cabin when Hurley saw an eye look out at him. The details are difficult to make out but it is an eye of a huminoid. Skin color and textire as well as other features are difficult to mke out due to motion and light color but it almost appeared to be more of a protohuman than human, very animalistic. Maybe Jacob is very very old kind of a first human type and very primitave one at that. At the very least Jacob seems to have a hatered of technology that could be because of people trying to understand him by means of dissection or some sort of technoligical means that caused him pain.

Another island mystery, how to get onto the island. 815 brought down by a supermagnetic pulse from the swan, and the helicoptor barely survuving a storm lands. But by far most get there by boat. Rousso, Des, and the others. The others Sub is quite an intrigueing concept to me. They seemed to favor it as the way to reach the island but told Jules it can still be a rough ride. I am thinking the electromag field that was in the storm affecting the chopper can also affect boats but to a lesser degree and the sub even less due to the field being weaker under the ocean. But then again it could just be that it is more difficult to track a sub and thus easier to covertly come and go.

now if only I can figure out the imprtance of bad fathers on here.

When all options are looked at and proven false then whatever is left however unlikely must be the truth..or to sum up Occums Razor(sp) the simplist answer is best.

Ok more theories, this one is a bit goofy and very much on the science part of it.

The island as we know has magnetic qualities that makes compases in accurate(season1) the swan station mag pulse (season 2) Hinted at time travel in season 3 and now in season 4 time dialation, Heres the theory part according to Faraday(the physist in the RL not lost) magentic forces can disrupt light and time. So Lets say there is a gigantic magnetic force around the island that would make the best way to approach or leave the island in the exact center of the poles where the magneti forces would make a kind of tunnel. Now lets say the Swan station regulated the magnetic force in some way but when the button wasnt pushed the mag force became very very strong, so strong that when 815 was flying over head the force didnt rip the plane out of the air and pull it down but instead acted like a magnetic break which wont really stop an object but will slow it down(watch the recent smash lab for a good example). so traveling through the corridor is safe except when swan goes wacky and that would be the heading in and out that Ben and Faraday(the lost one) suggest using. Now for the rocket experiment the Rocket got stuck in a time dialation caused by approaching on the wrong vector in, causing it to take 31 mins to get through and thus unsyncing the clocks. now I didnt time it but that rocket was going fast, somewhere in neighborhood of 3,000kph now the Heli would have a cruise speed of about 100kph so 1/30thish that of the rocket. we would get that all thigs being equal it could make the helicoptor take 15 hours to make it through the field. can we say ouch.

Ok so lets use that for some ideas on the Sub (yeah I read the comments) magnetic energy is effected by water, it actually will decrease the effects vs air because it is traveling through a more dense matter and more particulate minerals in it. so travel by sub would be more efficent and safer besides being more difficult to track. that aside the sub is metal and therefore subject to magnetic forces(and ones this great would be felt) as well they may do the approach near crush depth to be in colder denser water as it chould help lessen the effects (yes super conductors are kept very cold to make them that way but magnitism effects diffrent metals diffently at cold temps) the rough ride at such a depth would cause the vessel to catavate (shudder and make noise) so trevent sickness injury and panic, drug up and strap in

Now for the team on the island and the freighter. I suspect Ben has plans and had them in motion before they got on island to kill, capture or trap them. I am curious what the Others are doing at the ruins, trap setting or hiding my guess is a bit of both basically what a better location to get Strom, CS Lewis, and Faraday all at the same time. Ruins most likely have had people die at them so Gosty will want to go talk, Ruins for an anthropoligist would be her goal to study the culture there and could be a center for a physical or chemical phenomon to Lure in the scientist.

I think the Oceanianic 6 are people that strike a deal and betray their friends in order to get off the island in exchange for a free life.Oceanic pays them off publicly to save face and make them look like good guys to cover that they are part of a conspiricy org like the Hanso foundation and counting on the 6 to stay quiet out of fear or self humilation, Ben is having Sayied kill off key players in this conspircy to protect his intrest in the island and people like jack, colsest he has to friends.

So.....The magnetic qualities of the island would be something that naturally happened or are the magnetic qualities a result of something supernatural existing on the island or the island itself being supernatural. ...this is all beginning to sound very Bermuda triangle and if that is the case I would be very dissapointed
