| Jacob is in the coffin. Everything that they've done changes how the world works. Jacob was never supposed to leave the island. But he did. This happened after Jack 'rescued' the six people who were left or willing -or not willing- to return. And all of them are now facing death in different ways. Jack, seeing that Jacob has now died once off the island, has realized that to "refresh", so to speak, the world as it was on the island, and return health to themselves and set things aright, he must rework his path back to the co-ordinates- and conquer his demons. And, until he and Hurley realize together that the numbers Hurley kept encountering are the co-ordinates, he cannot just hope to fall out of the sky again to the same location. Michael never returned. He also was not from L.A. and was not from a low-income existence. There is a book by Hermann Hesse titled "Beneath the Wheel", which is a masterpiece of 20th-century literature. Check it out. |

| It could be Micheal and Jack is overwrought because his ticket back to the island is in that coffin. It could be a new character. I dont hink the comment is racist at all. If it was in a Latino neighborhood with Latino people walking around and the funeral director was latino would you think it was racist to assume Hurley was in the coffin?

| What's wrong with you people saying this is a racist theory ?? let me guess, you're black ?? I mean come on you can't argue the fact that there is alot more chances for Michael to hold his funerals in a black neighborhood because he is black ?? If you keep saying that this is racist you need to wake up and realize what is actually happening in the world.. yes in a perfect world the neighborhood shouldnt change anything BUT IT DOES.. so whoever tried to contradict this theroy by saying it's racist u fail miserably. I think this theory is very plausible. |

| Saying that having a funeral for a black man or woman in a black neighborhood is a racist comment is beyond absurd. We spend so much time looking for clues, "easter eggs" and other innuendos...but when the producers CLEARLY place this funeral in a low income, black neighborhood we are suddenly supposed to act like this isn't an obvious hint? No, having the funeral in the black neighborhood doesn't MAKE it 100% that there's a black man in the coffin...but there's an incredibly good possibility there is, and it's absolutely NOT racist to think so. It has nothing to do with racism. It's using your brain and powers of deduction. Geez that's annoying. |

| I am a latina and Im annoyed by the racist accusation. which is why I gave the example above. i agree with Mugatu its powers of deduction. it is astrong probabitlity that the man in the coffin is black. It could be Michael and this would explain why no one is there. No family because His wife died and I believe that Walt returns and remains on the island No friends because he did not leave the island in good terms.
