Yea, i beleive his soldiers are on the boat offshore and they want to take the island over. why??? profit........ widmore could rule the world pretty much if he stole the secrets of the island, cure cancer, emp forcefeilds, and all of the other stuff that we haven't even seen yet. Penny was probably able to hack into the thing to secure a transmission. But the hilo pilots were probably told to lie, so that if desmond was alive, they'd have an allaby, but the 815 survivors being there clearly complicates things, we'll just have to wait and see!!
