As soon as i saw jack ppull up and flip out a moto-krazr i told my wife that he was in the future....good episode, no cliffhanger though

Not to brag but I had the feeling from the start. The second I saw him on the plane I remembered the writers on the Answers special talking about how they would fill in the lost mosaic with bits from the past, present, and future.

Why didn't I see it coming? I just didn't want it to be a flash foward cuz then how would they play off another season off of it. The only thing that hinted that it wasn't the past was because it didn't fit anywhere in the storyline from when he was on the plane (I assumed it was after coming back from his trip to the place where he got his tatoo) to when he was talking to his ex-wife (it was noticable that they had already broken up).

I think I'll stop watching the show if we get a bunch of flash-forwards. Color me unimpressed with last night's finale. I'm not liking the flash-forwards one bit. I think it's a cop-out and will ruin the thematic storyline that Lost has crafted over the past three seasons.

Since the future is now the present.. the flashbacks will be to the events surrounding the rescue.

I also called it at the cell phone. I knew there was no way the producers could have an oversight that huge. I had a feeling on the plane, but I also thought for a second it was going to be an "alternate" plane crash. The people on the plane looked similar to the Losties, and I thought they might be opening up an alternate reality. Thank god I was wrong.

I think the next three seasons will be sprinkled with both flashbacks and flash forwards. In no way do I believe the future is set in stone, so you could see that version of the future never come to fruition.

I thought the episode was great. I also think there is a cliffhanger---who the hell did he call? There is no guarantee that they are getting off the island anytime soon. I feel Ben may be telling the truth.

The phone is also the first thing I noticed. I like the idea of having flash forwards. I think it will be like a boomerang effect in the show where now we know past and present and for the duration we'll know the present and future. The climax will be the creamy center of the whole story!
