Watching the "lost answers" show, a comment made by the producer struck me...
It was about the show being a mosaic, and lays out among other things, what the
losties "will become".
Since they are steaped in tradition, and "history repeats itself" is such a common cliche....
I wonder if the show will terminate with with the survivors "becoming" the Dharma
occupants, like the hostiles did. At that point, they could assume identities and if rescued, past legal issues would not exist!
This would require that the "battle" eliminate the hostiles, and the survivors basically
take over the same way the hostiles did.

Most CAN'T go home without facing consequences from past actions, at least not as themselves. If they assume the identity of the Dharma people, they could go home and be free

WOW, I'd consider giving away my Puppy to experience our Island! Think there is much pleasure and good on/from our Island ... we simply need the right psyche approach.

I agree that the long time Island social cycle is to be stranded, become an Other, then an Island Native with direct access to our Forbidden Planet-like capability.

Underground Community - Also something gnaws at me! Many episodes ago when Jack was among the "Others", Jack comfortably replied that the kids are "safe" when asked frantically about Walt.

Think that we have a large, most likely wonderful, underground community that interconnects with all the stations and other places (see maps), but are now purposefully blocked. Perhaps our underground community did the blocking to prevent access to their "Gem" of an Island capability by really bad others, perhaps Hanso and friends. Think Naomi is a bad other scout to find the Island that was shielded b4 Desmond's Fail Safe. The Others do not want the Island discovered, perhaps to be "the good ones" so they are promoted to Native status by the current Jacob ... HMmmmm.
