Default The last Jack episode of the season

I was thinking recently about how we are supposed to learn something disturbing about Jack's past and I was just thinking that maybe in this flash back we'll see that Jack killed the man who Sarah left him for.

That sounds like something the writers would have him do. A lot of the characters have killed someone in their past.

Oli: Major potential spoiler (related to recently released finale spoiler)

that it wont be flashbacks for jack but flash-forward yes i read on this site in the speculation board that the big twist is meant to be that jack has a flashforward where he is drinking and taking pills abnd is aboutt o kill himself but he doesnt and then he meets sum1 we already know, he meets kate and says to kate we need to goto back to the island and she says no and drives off.................thatsthe rumour folks....................if it is then its amazing................i mean i heard the flashbacks were coming to an end and season is meant to be taking a whole different appraoch

I read that somewhere too ali. It would be pretty cool to see the way they pull that off.

Does anyone remember how Jack's father died? I was thinking maybe Jack's dark past has to with possibly killing his father? Am I just nuts thinking that?

Thanks,
Jenn

Unfortunately, Juliet revealed Sarah was very happy living with her new husband when Jack was first imprisoned at the Hydra station. I think Jack killed Ed Mars (the U.S. Marshall) after Sawyer tried and failed. If I remember right they were standing outside Jack's tent and heard a gunshot, then Sawyer walked out. Jack ran into the tent and found that Sawyer "had missed" (yeah, right, from 2 feet away). Then Jack came out of the tent to tell everyone that Ed was dead. Libby was also a mercy kill. Not knowing the healing effects of the island, Jack gave her an overdose of Charlie's heroin to end her suffering.

Spoiler: When Locke comes back, Jack learns about the islands healing powers, confirmed by Naomi and Mikhail and realizes he killed twice and will now feel he is no longer superior to Kate.

except that heroin wont just kill you after one does. the heroin was not a mercy kill, the heroin was to relieve her pain. She died from the gunshots not of anything Jack did.
