dead - magnetic fields?

ok............Jacks Dad, Ben's Mum, Kate (amd the horse) there are loads like this people/things that should be dead often appear in the jungle. Usually when they do see them there not directly by the camp- do you think it has something to do with going past the fences, as Ben's mum was so adament for Ben to not cross over . Obvious i know but someone help me out here

I think these are all manifistations of the smoke monster and its attempts to communicate with island residents. The black stallion was a signal that smokie favors Kate and wants to help her. Jack's Dad was its attempt to tell Jack that salvation is possible. Eko's brother was its attempt to get Eko to become what he claimed to be. I'm not sure why Walt lured Shannon to her death, it didn't make any sense except it may have wanted her to be with Boone. It appeared as something White and beautiful to Locke because it wants him to be Ben's replacement because Ben has become a sociopath and a killer who has to "go away" the same way Eko did. It appeared as Ben's mom because it saw Ben as having potential to be someone important but, unfortunately, Ben's character weaknesses are as bad or worse than Eko's.
